I've added the giant eagle model to the list. At first glance this and the "eagle2" model, which was added earlier in Alpha, seem identical. The "giant" model has better textures and is clearly intended for display at much larger sizes. There are also minor differences in head and wing shape. To appreciate the difference open these two links in separate tabs and flick between them:

I'm unsure if both will be used on tameable beasts, but I'm including them all for now.


I've also added "hellhoundfoggy" which is a skeletal hellhound with thinner fog effects, rather than the bright fire of the older model.

Thanks! Yep, I just heard that too. But there's no reason they can't be made into rare spirit beasts at some point But even if not I kinda have to record their look here anyway

If.. they ever make these as a spirit beasts, they could quite possible be reduced to a basic version anyway (visually) as they've done to most others.



Just like Gara was stripped of all but the basic effect (skin shimmer) due to "Great Buff Purging", and we were told Unless the effect it directly built into the model (which they very very rarely do these days) it will never survive the taming process.



And just like the Fel wolf models, all that remained was the skin shimmer after taming, no other fel effects.

So unless the cool lighting effect and the rolling waves of electricity that arc over the model are directly built in, even if we got to tame it, it would never looks as beautiful as it does for shaman in this clip.

*whimpers with grabby hands*


Please oh please oh please!

It's Alpha, so anything can change, but apparently that Guarm model is designed for a specific boss mob / lore creature, even though it comes in multiple colours. So it's possible we won't see it as a tameable. I can't say that definitely though. I guess we wait and see!

Oh darn! Well here's to hoping at least some of the hydra puppies get marked tame able!

If they aren't Skoll and Hati (they seem to me like they are, too) then so long as they're tameable, I'll MAKE them Skoll and Hati.

With Fenryr and Hati in the picture with Legion, it would be cool to see Skoll appear as a new mob with the updated model.

EDIT: And with glowing eyes, there's less of that derp look going on from the front.

I noticed the eyes too, I really like the models, they're really neat. Hopefully they'll all be available in some way or another.

Oh my! They're great. I'm afraid I'm away for the next week and won't be able to put up our pics for a while. I do wonder if some of them will end up with different coloured glows like that other model did.

Given they're just called 'lightningworg' I daresay we'll probably see this for Hati. Probably not Skoll, but I think everyone's okay with that being the case.

Also did anyone see the new mechanical sheep because it's hilariously derpy and I need one...

I'm not gonna lie, I'll be slightly disappointed if Skoll doesn't get to look like Hati.

On the other hand, it would keep me from using him as my pet, giving me back my freedom to choose any pet.

There's so many things I want to tame, I legitimately can't even.

Those worgs-I saw the mouse over of their name and just started giggling giddily. Really really hopeful this is a new look for Hati. Considering they are on the new updated look that their father has, I am really hopeful.

And those doe and the new stag look-those are gorgeous! I hope they are tamebale as well. I've not found a stag for my hunter to keep by her side yet-those might just be what I've been waiting for.

Those wolf models are literally called "lightningworg" on MMO-champ. I think we got what we wished for!

Other thing I noticed about the potential new Hati/Skolls, it appears Hati may have had a gender change. Wowhead is showing that tooltips are now saying "he" in reference to Hati.

"Hati's bond with you grows ever stronger, increasing his effectiveness in battle.
Increases Hati's damage by 0.5%."

I really really hope those lightning worg are new Hati model. If Skoll gets an upgrade too, I'll scream with uber joy (and just move his old skin to be somewhere near those Thundermaw Wolves in Pandaria? lol IDK)!

But I'd seriously be happy with just Hati getting a new model to be more in line with Legion's other updates.
