Because he is one?
He is not the first beast repainted and turned into a spirit beast ^^
Although that doesn't necessarily apply to him, there was a missing bear color, they just saved it/ used it for this spirit beast

New bear spirit beast? WOO! It's about time bears got some love...even if it's not a bear in the sense of its pet type lol. Here's hoping it's a short respawn.

EDIT: We are absolutely being spoiled with spirit beasts this patch. The last time we had multiple in one patch was Legion (mana sabers), preceded by Pandaria (porcupines). Is Blizzard gonna surprise us with a fourth spirit beast at this rate?

The Bear Heart drops now but seems to be bugged, I got a stag thorn from the bear heart

Next update, the bear heart will give the bear thorn, but the bear thorn will give the stag knife lol

Finally the yellow dreamsaber is added, it’s the one of the colors I wanted most, as for the spirit bear, it’s just like skoll with the normal thunder wolf copycats. I’m happy they are still putting more wicker beasts in, it’s funny how the brambleback one is still bugged

I'm just thrilled that we have some new spirit beasts!

I just found Argyr in one of the new colors, The initial dreamstag was the autumn fire colored one, that one became the black variant, if I guess this correctly, if Argyr spawns as a green dreamstag, it will be a green thornbuck

Tula'rhun is intended to be a Bear, like the other colours. It was just a data copy error.

I see there's another black fey darter in Wowhead's list of NPCs added this build, but I haven't seen it and it doesn't mean it's in anyway.

I had a feeling the white bear was an error, a cool new spirit beast or maybe a unique pet somewhere should have the spectral emerald dream looks, I hope that dark color will be added, but as for the other blue variant, it’s part of a raid encounter, so that one will likely be tameable in two expansions, the colors also match the new mount pretty well

I'm actually shocked there isn't an Emerald Dream Aura'd Faerie Dragon as a Spirit Beast.

That was what I expected when they announced Emerald Dream.

Ah, I knew bears wouldn't get the love. First owlbears, now the mislabeled spirit beast. One day, bears will get some special love :')
