Am also in the middle of reading Tepper's Singer from the Sea. Have a copy of Grass that I've been meaning to read for a while, so went and found it and put it next to my favorite reading spot
I started reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell, and enjoyed what I read, but got distracted by other things--plan to get back to it eventually.

Aaagh I know! I'm just hoping that, for the first time in a 5/6-book series, there'll be more story and less flora and fauna D:

Currently reading Prelude to Dune: The Butlerian Jihad. I had the urge a few days ago to read the Prelude series again now that I am out of Warcraft books to read and waiting on the next book in the Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi series to come out in soft cover. I don't like buying in hardcover because it messes up the "continuity" on my bookshelf! OCD much? Not to mention they are also much more expensive. Also I can't afford to buy an e-reader so I like the paperbacks.

I'm rereading my favourite book, American Gods by Neil Gaiman.
I own two copies of it, actually. One which is bent, worn, well-used, and my favouritist copy in the whole wide world. It just feels like comfort.
... and the copy I keep on the shelf so people have a respectable copy to borrow. lol

Dragon Avenger by E.E Knight.
Because I love dragons. Can never have two many. Pity I only have the first three books.

Started reading Blood money again. I like how every chapter is a new tale the bounty hunter is telling the main guy.

I also recommend his short story collections, I think he does short form fiction well. In fact, what I liked best about American Gods was the little stories scattered throughout, and my favorite parts of Sandman were in the beginning, when it was more episodic.

I'm reading Dexter is Delicious by Jeff Lindsay. I'd been putting it off for a while because I was trying to finish Kingdom of Fear: Loathsome Secrets of a Star-Crossed Child In the Final Days of the American Century by Hunter S. Thompson. But since I finished that last night I finally started something else.

I have recently read the Empire Trilogy by Raymond E. Feist.. I'd love to read those again, and I even cried a little at the end.. xD Currently trying to read the next book in his series, and a book by Jan Guillou; "Tempelriddaren", no idea if there's an english title for it too. But ever since I became social at school I have barely had any time to read. Also recently read Nana by Yazawa Ai for the third time. Favourite manga by far.
As far as anything about or related to lotr goes, I'm never going to read those books. I watched the movies this summer, and those were really good. I have watched them before, at the age of 14 or so, and god were they boring. Only after starting to play wow did I gain interest in watching them again. :p
Stupid editing. I discover a new mistake for every time I think I'm done editing my posts.

And yes... Twilight sucks...

How can anybody like that?
My english teacher made a very good statement of why so many teenage girls identify with the main character there. "She has no personality, has a thing for vampires, and has no opinions." Something like that anyway, I can't remember everything he said.

I hope true blood was written before twilight, seeing as those are very similiar.

Those books are fantastic! Lady Mara ftw!
Feist in general is good, Janny Wurst is okay, but together they truly created something great! I must admit to being rather moved myself at the end.

"The Knight Templar".
I haven't read anything recent of his; I didn't really enjoy his earlier stuff, and I've given up on Swedish since!

I heard good stuff about the movie(s?) based of that trilogy though.

The books are great, and the movies are almost equal. I highly recommend both. ^^
