Myri doesn't quite know what's going on either. She just knows Azu's back and Tirrae's reaction pretty much confirms it. At this point she's just waiting for a lot of shit to hit a REALLY big fan.

Poor Zaruuk is going to be hit with a huge guilt bomb when he sees Azu. He blames a lot of her death on his little berserk outburst.

So, I took the liberty of checking up a bit on spectral undead for you, Azu. Other than the normal undeath-stuff (no need to sleep, eat, drink, Fear immunity, polymorph immunity and inability to be lawful good (no paladins)) your ghost-kitteh will be completely immune to everything but Holy spells and Arcane spells. That last bit seems a bit overpowered to me, how is it going to be handled?

Hmm. She can physically attack others, yes? Or no? If she can, then I'd think physical attacks would work against her...
Seems odd that ghosts are immune to everything but Holy/Arcane in lore, yet they're attackable with anything in-game. O.o Then again, it gives all classes a chance at killing them.

It's a game mechanic, just like how playable undead aren't immune to fear or sleep. Back in vanilla they actually had increased resistance to everything but Holy.

Lore is split on if she can physically attack or not. On some parts it says that spectral undead with a malicious mindset can cause ''Great pain'' by touching through someone living. Other parts put them as plain casters, like banshees, and the rest is unclear.

Perhaps a fair suggestion is that she can't fight and can't be attacked?

That would make her more or less a companion pet that can ''interact'' during combat, and actually makes sense. Still, it's Azu's character and I don't want to decide something for her.

I don't want to decide something for her either. I thought it might be a fair compromise with the lore being so vague. We'll have to see what she thinks/wants to do. :)

Heh. I rely on too much game mechanic stuff, then.

My thinking was that while she's less likely to be affected by physical damage, she takes a lot more damage from spells and whatnot. And I was going with physical capability of attack was pure focus on gathering enough, I dunno, essence to touch and harm others. Obviously, a distracted Azu would be absolutely useless.

I figure Holy would do a -lot- of bad things to her, and I can see Arcane doing nasty things. And besides, aren't most spells more or less "drawn" from arcane leylines, anyways? Perhaps for fighting mechanics, the energy drawn from the leylines can hit and affect her?

Yeah, I'll admit now it's a stretch, not sure if it makes sense.

Mages are the only ones who draw upon arcane leylines.

Ah. Well.

Hrm. Yeah, I guess only option we can go with is Azu's totally useless in a fight. Can't be hurt, but can't do anything.

Bye Sat!

Also, completely random, but I decided to start a mage. He's a worgen named Kayleb, and he's -extremely- unlucky. Took him forever to cast his water elemental, and he ends up dropping his hearthstone into it. He would've gotten out of Gilneas unbitten if it weren't for the fact he took the wrong turn when he was escaping. He was supposed to be a well-known priest like the rest of his family, but when tested found he had arcane capabilities and no healing power whatsoever. And yet he's totally upbeat and fine with his crap luck. He's all, "Whatever."

So yeah, I'm really enjoying him. He's really fun to play, I didn't really give a mage a shot, but after a lock, I'm not so worried about the whole squishy thing. He, Miranda the Wintersaber Cub and Sir Splashy the Water Elemental are really, really fun.

Hehe, he does sound like a super fun character.

Speaking of rolling new characters, I finally got around to making Karzix in-game! I've never been able to stick with rogues for very long, but I'm having a ton of fun on him. I'd post a few screenshots, but he is currently in some hideous, bright yellow questing gear that makes the poor guy look like a banana. :|

Poor Karzix suffers too much abuse. Swift, banana clothes, dragons, arrakoa...
