After checking up on it after a few months, we haven't quite gotten our R rating... But with that said, the government is seriously looking into it for once. A lot of politicians agree that the system needs to be changed.. although being politicians, said change keeps getting delayed. There's a website keeping tabs on the issue
here.

I work at EB, so from my "testing" at work today, I found out it works with Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and HeartGold/SoulSilver, so basically any game that uses the DS's wireless capabilities. Apparently, if you transfer the Legendary Dogs you get from the EB promotion over to Black and White later this spring, you'll be able to get another, new legendary.
Just thought I'd let you guys know! I dug Pearl out from a few layers of dust for this one. (been on a Pokemon hiatus since getting WoW)

Now, how to convince my parents to drive me down there without looking like a total dork.

I sure hope that it will work from the car. It'll be awful embarrassing for myself otherwise.
Also, Senna, you can cancel that order for the Celebi. I've got a ticket to a Zoroak now!

Not that i'm into those games or anything.. but if getting that category helps developers land games like L4D2 in Auz, then i'm all for it. x3

LOL, i'd probably do the same thing.. But I always thought the event pokemon were given out through a cartridge in-store; do you actually aquire them via wireless signal? =x

I'm pretty sure they're given out through wireless signal. I've never heard of using cartridges before, unless that was back in the Gameboy days.

Yup, through wireless. You just have to be in range of the signal to get it. Through thw wireless event or something option.

I was going to go to EB today, but my friend who also plays pokemon wants to get the event, but doesnt know the first thing about how to get it. So, have to wait till tomorrow to go to EB and hope they are hosting the event. I really want my Shinies!! (1 for each game, so 5?) hmm wonde if it'd work with the japan version of SS that I have...then I could use my SS to transfer to my B&W and get my Zoroak...hmmm... What exactly is a "soft reset?"

If you hold L+R+Start+Select (On the DS games anyway) It'll reset the game back to the startup screen.

does it erase saved data?

Nope, your latest save game data will still be there. Soft reseting is essentially the same as turning your DS off and on again, only without having to go though a few extra screens.

*Is now blaming Super Mario DS for her lack of pokemon playing* I'm trying to play, really!
Also, got my three shiny Raikou today! One in Diamond, Platinum and SoulSilver. Put money down on Black AND White too...need both! And I felt so odd asking about it and then the woman who was at the counter piped up 'Oh I Love Pokemon too!'...happy moment for Kira, hehe.

hahaha nice Kira!
ok, I was wondering what people ment by soft resetting for shiny legendaries, I'll have to give this a go for some of my hunting, as the shiny versions of certain ones are a lot nicer looking I find.
Also YAY, got all 5 of my Shiny Riaku's today...also tried to see if it'd work for Japan version SS...no, it does not, nor did it work (tried for fun) for the Japan version B&W. Hey, never hurts to check right?
At EB me and my Friend were all happy about getting out legendaries, and the guy at the counter asked us what pokemon games where the best, we told him all of them. He said that was good because they just had some kid bring in a bunch and he'd put them on hold for himself to buy after work lol. So that was funny.

Yeah I really do like the workers at EB games first time I went there I met a lady who I was buying my DS from and it turned from that into how EB should sell authenicators for world of warcraft, pokemon black and white and then the various types of conventions there were I tell you thats the only store I know that the workers will actually strike up a friendly chat with you
on other news I took a crack at my secound pokemon creepypasta which can be found
here.
feedback please? I spend a good two hours on typing and editting it

Now I am all impatient and waiting for my favourite legendary of the three...which just happend to be the last one...Ah why oh why is suicune the last one?
I really wish that pokemon where real you know? It would be really cool to be able to train your own real monster and battle/breed/contests, travel the world. It really would lead to a united world.

beat them in under an hour? with what, a time cheat code?
""HeartGold and SoulSilver are actually much longer gameplay than previous games, because you have two regions to explore. This adds about 15 hours on top of the first region which normally probably takes about 20 hours. It's quite fun to play over a long span of time.""
source
And I agree with them. It'd be impossible to actually beat the games in under an hour. Infact the entire first part of the game leading up to the first pokemon league would take longer then an hour, even with a team starting with lv 100 pokemon (which you would be unable to controll due to not having high enough badges) running from all random encounters, just making it to the league to fight them, past all the stoyline would take over an hour.
So...no, you did not beat them in under an hour...
Claims like that dont make you look all cool...they show how lame you are. Good job!
