Soooo OH MAI GAWD I haz news

Long story short, I caved in and blew $70 on the Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet, and I am trying to learn to use it to do more advanced edits with WoW Model Viewer. I had so much fun and I was so excited that what started out as an 'Edit' basically immediately turned into me flat out re-painting the whole picture. I'm so excited about this that I am going to show you what I've been working on!!

I'm doing an art trade with the lovely Maskurade (http://maskurade.deviantart.com/], who does WMV edits as well. This is her rogue, with some of my 'adjustments' I literally started doing this and didn't stop until my hand was so sore I was concerned I might actually injure myself doing it lol. Until Tomorrow!! I pick this hunter since I pretty much stopped playing all my other characters after making her lol. She's my baby hunter project and kind of a cat lady. Not crazy though, or at least I hope not. Aj is a bit of a tomboy but really loves her cats and treats her big cats as if they are just fluffy kittens at times.

It's a combination of things. I use multiple layers with varying degrees of alterations made to the original model, and there's a lot of pure painted-over sections for sure. Other times I prefer to blur/smudge/burn/dodge/filter a section and work it back into the rest. I also use hair brushes since that's completely not there in the original

I'm brand new at this so I'm hoping they'll get a lot better. And it's definitely one big hodge-podge of techniques until I decide what system & style works for me

Aw, too cool! I love how the wolf and bear are all snarley and the cat's all prowley. And the little frame you put around my old avatar looks darn sharp.

One complaint though: you used the white wolf model for Kiba, but he's actually a white worg. If you could swap models, that'd be great.

(Also, while you're at it, if you could change 'Moonrunner server' to just plain 'Moonrunner' then it'd be perfect. )

But when you just posted this reply, I think you said it backwards...? You said I used the classic small wolf skin, but I used the old cliff jumper skin link you linked. No, you got it right...for some reason it looked wrong when I first saw it, but looking at it again, it's the right model. I think it's because in game the back fur has more of a blueish tinge, but in your image it's closer to straight gray.

I blame the drugs. Clearly I'm not taking enough. If you could just tweak the text, I'll be a happy hunter.

(Although now I'm wondering: How much trouble would it be to adjust the figure? I'm thinking she might look better without the goggles, and her skin should be a step darker. And I'd like to see her earrings, too. I'll PM you a WMV file in case it'll help.)

Yeah, I had to color alter the pets because they looked ridiculous next to each other. They are all supposedly 'white' pets but the bear is very yellow, the wolf is very blue, and the cat is just gray. I tuned them all to be closer to plain white without completely losing their tinge of off-white color. I'll update a new version in a minute.

these are truly amazing, very eye catching and colorful, usually i stare at sigs than actual comments, and i find alot of yours and others that are similar catch my attention, im very A.D.D.... oo look a rare

@Magli, it's perfectly fine, I am the same way so I understand. The whole reason I do these (besides photoshop practice) is because I enjoy knowing someone's going to enjoy using it, so if it's going to bug you it's just as disappointing to me as it is to you. Honestly it's hard in anything graphic design related to get it right in one shot anyway so I'm not upset if it doesn't work out that way. I worked as a graphic designer and it was a joke, it would take 5, 6, 7 tries sometimes to match to what someone wanted
