I wish they would do something so I can log back on my guy and get in there to check out these new tames... I am stuck somewhere in firelands and can't get past the load screen. I have tried to rename my character change his race, I tried to faction change but it seems I have too much gold to do that.

I absolutely love Deth'tilac and the new spirit beasts. All the spiders are gorgeous though. But I don't want to do what I did with Maddexx and collect them for the heck of it; too many pets already... @.@; I'm thinking I'll be going after Deth'tilac, Ankha and Ban'thalos myself...

Four recolored spiders and four reskinned spirit beasts? That's it? I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I was sort of hoping for a little more variety...

wait, 4 spirit beasts and 4 spiders? whats the 4th spirit beast? or do we not know..? i thought it was gonna be 3 spirits and 5 spiders, as someone somewhere had suggested i think

It's three spirit beasts and five spiders. We've found them all.

And none of them are reskins, only two are not 'unique' in appearance. *mutters something about spoiled under her breath*

Maybe one is still in hiding! The elusive Invisible Sporebat. Only visible while either drinking an invisibility elixir or using the Gnomish Cloaking device...

what are all the spider colors? i only know 1 orange, 1 green, and 1 purple

The other two are red and yellow.

Now I have a question about all these rares (maybe it was answered already, and if so, I apologize <3)

Are these guys phased?
If so, about how far in were you (you being the hunters who have tamed this on the PTR) into the Fireland dailies?

All of the rares in the Firelands seem to be visible without having done any quests inside EXCEPT for the introductory one which ends with Malfurion after you help him defeat an elite just after you enter the Firelands.

Kirix's area is desolate (minus Dante) when you first enter, but I have seen players turning in quests at invisible (to me) questgivers a short distance from where he's supposed to be. No idea how the other spiders' areas will be impacted by phasing.

This is all based off of the initial reports from last night, since no one could have quested too far into the zone at that point, and all five were spotted.

yep yep, just first quest has to be completed.

Please note: spiders will be updated with the new and easier way to tame them as soon as I can!
Kinda been working on finding the little sobs.. but yes expect an update on the ones that need to be updated as soon as I can.

im probably in the wrong spot (yes i am the eternal noob when it comes to forums and posts)
but these guys seem to be just color remakes / reskins of ones we already have ..*still giggles about gondria and her being able to look thru her bumm*
although the new colors are nicer, i would like it if they could at least change their eyes so you cant see em thru their tushies, and the 'olm' is a fun one due to the fact you have to have a questline complete and its going to be a challenge to get.
sigh, i guess i want more original beasties, more solid ones cause im tired of the 'ghosted' variety, and maybe some better / different original effect upon them
(lava beasties seem to be more of an elemental thing and dont really jive imo on a hunter... maybe a shammie)
i'd love to see something more like skoll but with different effects or a totally different body style with purple mist / flame effects and unique fighting styles. firebolt anyone on a firelands rare or maybe a lighting bolt off of a storm spirit owl?

They are indeed mostly these rares are just for the trick and to use some unused skins. I am not going to complain as 8 rares in one patch is awesome and 3 spirit beasts with it.. nice. The spiders its for the thrill of the hunt or if you want the unused skins you cant get. I always enjoy the thrill of taming rares, this just makes it that much sweeter when youve accomplished taming something that would otherwise one shot even a tank!

Oh yes I also edited my main post again to add more indepth detail on the spiders. Am going to have to cut down on pictures to add more detail of the tames sadly

The new spirit beasts are not reskins, and neither are the spiders, only two are not unique. *will repeat patiently as often as she needs to*

Hum. I might have to go after Magria, considering my hunter's all blue and green pets - Gondria sticks out like a sore thumb in her stables! So that skin would suit her a lot better. I'm apprehensive at trying to tame her on my PvP server, though.

And maybe the green spider. I have a hard time having spiders for pets, but maybe I can make an exception for a pretty one like that. They squick me out a bit!

Hell, I'm going to be busy the next patch, because I like the bird too! And I'm not even the collector type - I don't think I even have 15 pets. I think I'm a bit happier with them than other people, because hey, three potential pets that match my hunter perfectly! lol I absolutely don't expect new models like Loque every patch, and to be honest, I'm very surprised they haven't reused him yet. But it would have been nice to see a scorpion or something in place of so many similar spiders, you know?

How in the world are any of them not reskins, exactly? The two kitties use the same model as Gondria... with different skins. All of the spiders share the same model, with four different skins. They are absolutely reskins.

Those two skins were put into the game files at the exact same time as Gondria. They were alternate colors that were not used. The spiders were, likewise, alternate colors that had not been used yet. They are reskins no more than King Krush is.

Basically, they are technically 'reskins' but they aren't, because they have been around just as long, and weren't just copied with a different color pasted on them.
