Ooooh! Pretty Kafa!! Love that last shot, Doomcookie. I'm 2 million xp points away from my goat. Tonight should be the night!!
You know what will be fun? To see if our goats change color when they fix the bug that makes them all brown. It'll be like a little mini surprise!

I am VERY much looking forward to this with the quilen too!
For the record, the SSC run should be doable alone.

It would require the minor glyph, ancient hysteria, and possibly a speed pot, but SSC really isn't that bad. I found the dragonhawks in the Sunwell to be more difficult in many ways, since those mobs hit a lot harder. There's a lot less damage going around vs. Vashj. The trick is not getting feared out of LoS from your pet prior to the tame. That makes things messy.

This is exactly what i though. I went out and tamed four quilen to see if they would change color when they fix it. I would really love to do the same with the goats as well but i am out of stable slots (atleast until they fix the bug with the first row of the stables being locked)

The unusual timing of the build release that included these new families (on the weekend!) leads me to suspect it was rushed out for some testing purpose and they'd only got part way through flagging things tameable when it was released. I suspect we'll see loads of more tameables next build and it's way too early to speculate on why something may have been deliberately left untameable.

That sounds VERY likely, Wain! In which case, <3 whoever and whatever reasons they had for pushing it! Cause really, this has given us a lot to play with, while still leaving an air of mystery for the future.

That skin is cool enough that I might not even tame a regular water strider... (not a fan of the blue/purple).
Wain: what other old strider colors are available in WMV?.

No prob mate. I've had them on my mind for a few weeks now trying to draw what a baby one would look like. It's hard

I think the black and green one is my favorite, too, but there's something about that whitish pink one that's so obscene and horribly feminine that I want it. x_x It's like it's so disgustingly cute that I can't resist. I don't know why.

Finally reached 87. I've just been killing mobs and queueing for dungeons as I don't want to do any of the questing content until live. Anyways, tamed a quilen, I'll see how I feel about them. Can't wait for the rest of their skins to get back in game, I want to see how they all look like now on the new skeleton.
I do like the purple eyes that this stone model has, they're very nice.

It looks like you just tamed a statue and not a pet

Yup!
It's funny, since normally inorganic pets don't appeal to me very much. There's something different about these guys though. I've always loved foo dog statues for one, but I also like the cultural mythos of like...a shrine guardian coming to life to defend you. I guess I can't really explain it, but I'm much more fond of them than I am of any other rock/stone type pet.
And yes, I admit the worg skeleton really does suit them in its own way. I was completely against it at first, and while I still think the cat skeleton version had a different sort of appeal, seeing this one in person changed my mind a lot.

I have to agree on the inorganic pets these I find to look wonderfull while the others all look "meh" to me. I don't think I'll get one tho I don't see the point in getting one I'll only ever use when I rarely use my 2nd duel spec :/ Ah well I can still look at them!
I want to draw one or two or babies......how that'll work I have no clue!
