New animations? Psh. Knowing Blizzard they will just "borrow" the cat attack and sit animations and add them on this model. I can see that happening.

First impression: I don't like it. I don't like the crouched position of the front legs, the bobble head thing it does when it moves side to side. It's like the face bobbles around inside the mane. And their faces get deformed when they turn their heads. It's better than the cat frame but I still prefer the Worg.

This skeleton fixes all of the issues I'd had with the others. You can see the pattern on his back quite clearly, he's still pudgy (but quick on his feet), and the obnoxious cat snarl/yawn thing is gone. There IS a small idle snarl sound, but it's very brief and not annoying.

If only the ears were floppy!

(Yes, the last picture is of the swim. Yes, Dory photobombed us.)

You know looking at those photos I have to say I think it fits the model really well. It looks like a statue come to life in the way it stands. I like it. I'll never tame one tho I'm not BM but I'm still hopeing for a mount!

The first thing I noticed is how the face stretches when it turns its head. It looks kinda goofy. Other than that and the front paw that just looks oddly bent, I think the skeleton works. It's infinitely better than the cat, I'll say that much. I dare say I actually kind of like this more than the worg skeleton. Like I said, there are a couple of odd things, but now it really stands out as its own thing. And I actually like the floppy whiskers, I think they're cute!

My first imprssion of this was 'I really like it'. The worg skeleton does look quite good, but I can see where the clipping issues were. This one has a few, but not as many. And it definitely stands way better. It looks *regal*. I'm loving it, honestly. Especially if they leave that 'mountspecial' roar as an idle animation. I saw that icon and squeed.

It definitely looks like a strut more than a walk. :D

Confirmed! I checked out the wild quilens in the instance and the ones on guard duty are DEFINITELY strutting.

Get them together with the porcupines and let's make a music video. ;)

I do like it a lot. Just going by the .gif, front paws seem to kind of dip below ground surface level, but not sure if that would be as noticeable in-game (?). But otherwise yeah, seems like a good skelly.

Oh. My. God.

Strut = I MUST TAME ONE. BRB, leveling on beta.

OK, I know it's still a work in progress so I'm not getting too passionate about this. This could be just another rough test, like the worg turned out to be.

Personally I prefer the worg. To me the new skeleton looks more like they've turned it into a half sea lion. The squat, exaggeratedly broad body shape, the flipper feet when it walks ;)

Possible temporary nature = I MUST LEVEL FASTER. I need to play with this for at least a little while.

The flipper effect, which is visible in WMV, didn't strike me in game at all. There's something about having a proper environment and lighting that makes a difference. :)

So... now that I've seen it in game... it's definitely better than the cat. I mean, I can live with it... but I still miss worg skeleton! I loved the floppy lips and floppy ears of that one! xD

It needs a few touch ups, especially when turning their heads.

And that weird front leg flipper when it walks (I'm glad someone else thought that looked strange lmao).

But overall its better than the cat and I give it a thumbs up. Worg is still a bit better, but hey. At least it looks regal.

Hrm...having seen it in person in beta, I dunno...it just looks very awkward. Seeing it run while looking at it from the front, the chest and legs just seem really stocky and thick and cumbersome. Hopefully they're still working on it, right now I'm not overly fond of it.

Mmm... it's significantly better than the regular cat skeleton, but I still vastly prefer the worg skeleton. I really don't like that one lumpy front paw. :( Maybe I'll change my mind once I get a chance to see it in person.
