so I was puttering about near False lake and I managed to find my way to a vantage point, on the cliff beside it were a pair of "diving goggles" O.o



I put them on and this happened

If I recall the wardrobe is two little kids playing hide and seek. The one is telling you to go away so the other cant find him hidden there.

Heee, thank you!!! :3 I do, too. In fact, I just spent the past several hours writing a short story about him. That's how I know I'm attached to a character - I start making stories for them.

Edit: By the way, zedxrgal, yes you can. It's just that now that the event is over, you don't automatically get leveled up in that zone if you're not already 80. So, you can still get one, you will just need to be high enough to get one. During the event, you could get one regardless of level since you were leveled up to 80.

Though right now I'm trying to figure out if I want a second ranger and if so what race .. I can't seem to decide

:3 ! Glad I'm not the only one. I'm up to 20 or 21 pages now and I still have plenty more to write. x_x I feel a bit silly, but overall it's a love story between Sevryn and a character I made up (as in not represented in-game) named Annalise. There's still action and stuff, of course. But it's like I hate admitting that I'm still a girl at heart.

I can still write stories about characters that are not involved with any game, but for some reason having an avatar in a game gets my imagination going. Maybe it's because I can visually see them? Not sure.

Not long after I tamed Tyrant on Southsun Cove. Again, forgot to post it, I think.


Reef Drake's underwater special ability. It's a big sonic shield that deflects projectiles. Not sure how useful it'll be, but it looks cool!

I'm biased but.. I think your ranger is soooo cute Rhyela! He looks like my boyfriend if you shave off the stache and dye his hair a little red. ;D

I feel the same way, that's why I take so many screen shots of him.

I was so happy, I finally re-made my outlaw shoulders so that I could transmute them onto the ugly ones I had been wearing around the past few levels. They're not technically part of this set, but I think with the little belts, they work. The set piece is this bulky one-shoulder deal that just looks...bleh. Well, in my opinion. I'm still not quite happy with the boots, however. None of them seem to work, and I think I've tried just about everything. Also, apologies for Tyrant's fat tail taking up half the picture. Seems like part of him always manages to get in my pics.



Kneeling before some gravestones in a beautiful underground cemetery. Tyrant is a putz and seemed disinterested.


As I turned to leave the above cemetery, I noticed how pretty and serene the cavern was. Tyrant is still disinterested.

I found one too, and I decided "why not" and jumped off, got a "dive master" achi.

I just tried that last night, too, and got the achievement. Hehe! The first time I found goggles, I put them on, was like "???" and took them back off. Derp. I'm wondering if there's an achievement for all the diving spots. I'll have to go back and find that one again. It was at the strawberry farm in...erm...Kessex Hills.

Awesome.


I saw this guy from far away at first. The lighting was tricking me and I though he was a red skinned shark. Now I'm disappointed he isn't a red skin.


I wish you could charm a crab. They have the cutest dance similar to scorpids in WoW.

A farm on another lovely day in Queensdale.


My newest character, Sten Oathbearer. I thought about naming him Sten the Oathbearer instead, but it kept wanting to capitalize the "the". My anal-retentive english wouldn't let me do it.

Bah, I've now re-made Sten. I'm going to try out the name Sten Lightbringer. I was hesitant to use it because of Uther Lightbringer, and I don't want people thinking I got it from that. It's just a fitting name for a norn guardian. It sounds more action-y than Oathbearer. Norn are boastful and like to talk of their deeds and whatever, and bearing an oath just doesn't seem as impressive and worthy of a celebratory moot as bringing down the light on some enemy's face. /shrug

I don't care what he's called Rhyela, if he looks like that.

Sten's lookin good I've been considering trying out a norn ranger .. but I just could not get into a female norn .. mostly because of the initial story I think .. I found it boring
and now I can't decide between Sylvari and Norn .. geesh .. perhaps I should just make both races and be done with it

That's funny, my ranger is a female norn and I felt like the story was rather grand and the human one made me go "wut thats it?" XD

I concur. Human are pretty looking enough but their story sent me to snooze ville. Now I'm deciding between an Asura Necromancer, a Sylvari Ranger or a Charr Guardian. Blast them all for looking epic. xD

I made a Norn Ranger and a Sylvari Necromancer, and I love the way they both look, and the storyweaving element of the game is absolutely fantastic.
