Last night we watched "The Dallas Buyers Club".

It wasn't as sad or depressing as I thought it might be. It was gripping, however!
Matthew McConoughey's (sp) performance was awesome, as always, and Jared Leto was absolutely stunning.

I went to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman with rather low expectations but it was a lot better than expected and it was pretty funny too, lots of amusing references in there for the adults. (:

xbsjhadjelkw I wanna see that movie but it won't be here until March 7th T.T

Saw About Last Night. It was a pretty good chick flick. I'll probably never see it again though XD It's what I like to call a Netflix movie.

Robocop is next for me. Still debating on whether or not I should go see Endless Love and/or Winter's Tale. I might just see the Lego movie a second time instead XD

I saw a Robocop moive!. The orginal one because I don't really want to see the new one (but I'm bound too see it sometime). So in the 80's the set the movie in the "near future Detroit that was filled with crime and run down" so a bit like it is now from what I here XD

The stopmotion in it is really good stuff!

I FOUND THE THREAD!!

I saw Non-Stop...I don't even remember when...It was a good thriller :) Trying to catch Robocop and Peabody and Sherman but UGH!! it's so hard when Robocop only shows at 10:15 at night where I work.

It's not a movie, but animes count too, right? Well, I think they do. I watched Guilty Crown. It shares some similarities with some other animes but the concept is AMAZING imo, the art is BEAUTIFUL, and I cried :P I wish they fleshed it out more. There is SO MUCH that isn't explained, and some of what happens you just...kinda...have to accept, which annoys me!! and the pacing is off. They have a filler episode (or two) yet, when they get into something important, they speed right through it :/ The plot could also use some work. It's all over the place. But, like I said, the concept is amazing :) If you can get past the fact that they don't explain some things, and some things you just have to accept, then I would HIGHLY recommend this anime. I thought it was pretty darn good once I got past that (it still tweaks me though...)

last night was a 2-movie night.

my husband says "ok, let's watch that new DVD you just got, just give me a few minutes to finish off what we're doing in Aion." This was at 8 o'clock.

So at 8:30, I hear him on vent and their doing some sort of instance or battleground or something...

I popped World War Z into the player, and watched that, assuming that I would be interrupted shortly. Nope, I got to watch the whole movie! LOL Damn those Elyos, they were trying to invade an Asmodian fortress.

So FINALLY, at 11, we popped Hunger Games: Catching Fire into the blueray player.

That was my evening: World War Z and Hunger Games.

I'm still trying to decide if I really want to go rent Gravity. It doesn't really sound like my kind of film.

Me and some friends saw the new 300 film yesterday. I went in with low expectations, they were neither lowered further nor raised when I came out. It was just... exactly what I expected? I guess? xD The one AWESOME thing it did have though was the soundtrack! I was listening to it all night last night, it's brilliant!

We also did a double bill the other week and saw the Lego Movie (Loved it! <3) and Robocop, the new one. I honestly enjoyed it, but that's coming from someone who never saw the original. :'3

Most people I've talked to LOVED the 2nd 300, but my bf's reaction was alot like yours. I have chosen to not go see it.

I also saw Robocop (last week?) and I enjoyed it, but I haven't seen the original. Most people I talked to liked it, but my bf watched the original and prefers it over the new one.

I'm hoping to catch Mr. Peabody this week :) Most people coming out of the theater liked it (not as much as The Lego Movie, but...cmon...very few kid movies can top that atm XD)

Also, semi-movie related, I was able to snag a How to Train Your Dragon 2 poster from my theater :D and, we thought we only had 3 Lego Movie posters, but we actually had 4 so I was able to have one!! :)

Aaahh I'm jealous about the HTTYD poster! I can't wait to see that film, it's probably my most anticipated of this year.

I really liked Mr. Peabody and Sherman, it was fun. (:

Ive watched a few films lately..

Saw 300:Rise of an Empire. I think it was ok - didn't expect it to be shakespeare but I feel they left the ending abit open for a third movie. The female villian was a good concept I thought however. We saw it on 3D but 3D movies do very little for me anyway.

Finally saw Frozen - I'll agree with some critiques that it isn't as amazing as everyone says. I get they tried to be different with this one but I felt they could of done alot more with the setting...didn't really get that it was scandinavian(sp?) at all. The snowman was dumb and the reindeer acting like a dog was a little annoying but not OTT atleast. I liked the song and got why that won an oscar...it was quite lovely :) Probably being over critical for a kids movie but after watching alot of Studio Ghibili stuff I think disney needs to lift its game abit.

Caught Balto on Foxtel the other night and forgot how good the older animated movies were :)

I feel like Disney's getting worse while Dreamworks gets better. As of recent, no Disney film bar Wreck It Ralph has really impressed me, but Dreamworks are coming out with these beautiful, brilliant pieces of artistic creativity like How To Train Your Dragon and Rise of the Guardians. I dunno, just my opinion that I've stuck with for a little while now.
