Hah! I couldn't have said it better myself. Are you me, Teigs? ;)

Same here, Teigs. I visit Facebook maaaaybe once a week...maybe. I'm on WoW just about every day. If I want to bug those 70-something friends on Facebook, I'll get on Facebook. But, you know...I don't.

It's a shame if Blizzard's hand is being forced here, since it sounds like they're not really thrilled with it, either. But you know what? Blizz existed before Activision. Blizz should riot! Mutiny, I say!!!

That would be epic....a Blizzard revolt...they could all equip themselves with weapon replicas and armor.

I'm afraid that there is no stopping this, but I was wondering...I heard that this has already taken effect in Korea, is there anyone who was there when it took effect, or know someone? I'm curious to hear what's happened.

Does it make me a bad person for still playing the game :(

Playing this game and giving your money to the company is your personal decision and only you can make it. As far as the game is concerned it's still very fun to play in :)

Hahahaha!! Not that terrible, I laughed... Though of course some would say that's no guarantee of quality. >.>

Nope. I still am. And I still will be when they launch the new forums. What the future holds, I've no idea, but as things are, I'm not quitting. *shakes fist* /y I JUST CAN'T QUIT YOU, BLIZZ!!

I'm not going to quit. I'm just not going to post on their forums anymore. Not that I really posted anyways. Good news is, my server actually has a website and there are several other WoW related sites I could sign up and post on. They tend to have a few less trolls. (Like this site)

Regardless, I just want to see how this pans out and if they do throw in a change. They may regret it when they see nothing will change about the trolling. :|

Yup, as I mentioned somewhere else, I know the 'correct' thing to do would be to stop giving money to a company whose direction I no longer support, but the game wins over moral dilemma for me. I don't look down on anyone who chooses to do so (as I'm still going to give them money even though I don't care for the Activision stuff), because I'm still enjoying the game now and I will continue to enjoy it until something truly terrible happens. I can't say what would push my decision to quit, but right now it's not anything I can think of so I'll keep playing.

Has anyone seen the article on WoW-Insider - http://www.wow.com/2010/07/07/rumor-bli ... ear-on-th/ - apparently after the blue posting his real life name of the forums blues real names will no longer show up when THEY post on the forums.. But ours will? How fair is that?

Some people inside Blizz are saying they will not, and others are saying they will. There is some internal communication issues going on.

Apparently, the new beta of GS is actually showing peoples Real ID names? Or was it actually photo shopped? If this is the case, then the whoever made GS is well... I could say a lot of things, but I'll keep my potty mouth off these forums. :X

I don't care if it's optional. This is a terrible decision and if Blizzard has any sense, they'll listen to the sheer amount of outrage that's being shown across the board and stop this. This kind of thing is just not safe, period.

Word on the street is that addons can do this, so I've been avoiding any new ones until this passes.

Yeah wow.com had the extremely "helpful" advice to just "avoid unsafe addons." =_= Cause you know, I really know what might constitute a "safe" addon. Anyway, I'm not installing any new addons, and I'm watching my current addons. If I see anything giving away my info, it's gone.
