Perseus the new green Madexx sends his love from the northernmost spawn point to those of you still searching for him. <3 He found me last night and absolutely won me over. Love at first sight. x_x

Maybe greenie likes that spawn point...or maybe it's just a total coincidence. Best of luck and may he spawn for you soon!

Two (that I know of) of the last three Madexxs spawned in that spot.

One was red (killed), and the other one (green) from this morning....

Hmm, well... I was just on the PTR looking to see if Madexx was up... remember this is on the PTR...



It was roaming around the spawn point east of the ruins....

Here is the kicker... there were only 3 other people in Uldum at the time... (on the PTR)

On a side note, earlier I did the beginning quests in Uldum (ON PTR still) to unlock the portal, and I was sending my non-rare Madexx clone in to attack first and the NPCs were calling the scorpid "her"... so maybe Madexx is female.. or is it totally random what the NPCs say for pets?

It's a good sign! I tamed the black one on the PTR before finding greenie on live. Given, the tames were many hours apart, but it's the stamp of approval...^_^

I'd take the hidden gender definition with a grain of salt. I'm not sure that the devs always bother putting in the "correct" gender, regardless of what the mob's name is. That said, I suppose Madexx could be a girl's name. xD

Rezzed and flew to a safe spot to inspect my new pet. Stared at the combination of near black and the reddish highlights... my first thought was "wow, it makes me think of Webber." Now Webber is my favourite little hen. I raised her from a chick and she's a plucky little thing who will take on any of the other chooks and has been known to have a go at the dogs and the horses. So black Madexx is now named Webber and I'm already fond of her. Yes, her.

The blue can maybe go to another one of my hunters. Maybe I'll skip the camp and they can just have the common colour changer. The camp has driven me nuts. I have a red, I like my red; I have a bronze, it's ok. Would the blue suit my NE better? Yeah probably. But the black has me.

And a big thanks to my new horde pal. She knows who she is. Thank you for the help and the company!

Aww yay!!! Im so glad you got him/her lol! Im now sitting in your spot hahaha! That huge snow storm we had last night knocked out my internet until noon today, which is why I logged so fast last night. Glad you like the black! I love that color, but right now I would take any of them that popped hehe. I had alot of fun chatting with you last night, makes the circuit alot less boring lol. Who ya going for next?

No more camping until the next hunter is lvled! But for now, my poor little lock is scrambling her way from level 80.

Edit: Just thought I'd add, that Wyvern Sting + tame worked! She stayed sleeping until the tame completed. So even if the horde that was zooming in had killed, he wouldn't have gotten anything out of it as I had the mob tagged.

So, if you are camping rares as a SV hunter, take the effort to use that ever so useful sting rather than simply drop a trap and hit tame.

Well I've finally joined the forum today and earlier posted about my Madexx adventures I'm desperately after red and suprise suprise no luck.

I have the week off and decided to camp him as he is the last Cata rare I want. I've seen him spawn 4 times so far, 1 green and 3 brown no red >.<

The first time was green and I tamed so at least I had him! Then I saw brown and put a shout out to any hunters and instead a Pala came along and killed him despite me begging him not too Both where at the northwestern spawn point. Then another brown at the top middle and I didn't dare shout out after last time so looked to see if any of my guildie hunters were on and a horde came and killed him

Tonight NPCscan went off again and it was brown, again! Also northwest spawn point. This time I did a /who uldum and there was only 1 other lvl 85 hunter on, so I whispered them that Madexx was up. I don't think they knew who Madexx was but they got the tame and seemed pretty happy Here is me showing them that he spawns in other colours too.
I shall keep searching for my red, and I now have a new friend who will ping me if they see red around, I need all the help I can get Maybe some good karma might help also

so im on my dk .. and i need whiptail for the hunter for agi flasks .. and I cant help myself .. i fly over nada ok no problem pick a herb fly back across wha! int he middel again! what Its RED OMG!! RED again after my truama i who uldum only 2 hunters no reply from one ones not intrested who stomwind (omg ) message 3 hunters i think i scared one they are like who are u! msg 5 hunter .. hes 84 intersted oh sure im in sw can u port me .. (im not a mage im a dk ) apparently They hadnt opened a quest at all in uldum ... so im like omg well get here ... see someone else fly in .. another hunter who lands and i see sambas i msge em quickly PLz dont kill (cause i don't knwo thier intentions) he was going to tame rather than see hord kill i explain i have a hunter on the way but invite he was here first he said oh i have green want blue so he kindly traps madexx and we wait ... and wait the other hunter portaled to HIJAL and is flyin down ... Im Like Please hurrryyy its 4 am but still

he says Longest flight ever ( i can relate) im sure im not the only one

After the tame i thank other hunter with promise to hit him up if i see a blue
and not 3 minutes later deathwing comes by to thank me with a good old Bbq and i got my stood in fire achiev
i guess thats my good deed reward lol

wow that screenshot of him iced must have been RIGHT as he finished taming, before it would default to "Scorpion" but yet it shows "___ 's Pet" I find that interesting

Not too much of a story.. home sick today so I'm reading forums / camping Madexx / mining, and just got done getting ready to install a software update (Adobe Lightroom), and started around on one more lap of the spawn points before I started the install, and BAM, NPCScan goes off, and there he is, at the boneyard spawnpoint. Drop in as fast as I can since I've lost Madexx twice before, and get the tame done.

Then wheh/sigh/slump...

So here he is, need to think of a good name.. (I usually take a while for that)..

He seems to be waving, or is hungry, never can be sure with scorpids...

Yeah, with the green Agi enchant, the green goggles, and the green crafted belt, it does kinda work...

Now I need to figure out where I'll make room for that new windserpent and the black wasp...
