Thankfully, it doesn't really bother me if a large portion of the pokemon look stupid; I never bought into the whole "gotta catch 'em all" momentum of the game. Why every single trainer should want to catch several hundred pokemon, uproot their lives, just to use 10-15% of them and shove the remaining 90% in a PC box and leave them there to rot is beyond me.. XD; if it were real, you wouldn't be able to develop a meaningful relationship with any more than a dozen of them in your lifetime. xD
I'm kinda the same with my pets on wow.. I don't view them as trading cards, and I hate the idea of collecting all the "super rare" ones.

Tell me you don't look at those faces and think:
Deeeeeeeerp
Looking at those faces.. Makes me want to grab the "Fan" from Super Smash Brothers and press the A button repeatedly.
Tsh! tsh! tsh! tsh! tsh! tsh! tsh!
Come to think of it... If they ever make another Smash Bros. game, I think I know who's face we'll be seeing on the Home-Run Contest Sandbag. <3
Azunara wrote:As far as I remember, the only movie I have ever seen was the one with Mewtwo, years ago. I remember it rather well, with the evil clone things that were superpowered and fought against each other...
I watched that in 1999 when I was like 9 or 10. XD; pogeymon was so much better back then, at least the first two generations (and most of the third.) That movie had a randomly-nice soundtrack as well, particualrly that song by Midnight Sons. x3

I only have 5 that I really love. The first three (Mewtwo Strikes Back, Pokemon: The Movie 2000, Spell of the Unown), the Celebi One: Celebi: Voice of the Forest, and Destiny Deoxys (mostly b/c of Rayquaza, my favorite pokemon, other than maybe lugia...) The Latios and Latias one was alright, but not a favorite.

I liked Blessed Union of souls- Brother my Brother, song, the one played while they fought eachother...
lyrics here
But I did cry for the part with Midnight son's-If only tears could bring you back. I think it was the combination of the song, Pikachu crying and Ash turned to stone. And then all the pokemon started to cry and it was really emotional...That may have been the last movie that I ever shed that many tears watching.
lyrics here
I know what you mean, so many of my games have pokemon that I caught for the sake of catching and yet never use.
**And I forgot to post this message and its been sitting on my computer for awhile now...whoops!**

My favorite music for any pokemon movie would have to be Lugia's song. It's so peaceful, and chilling, yet awesome at the same time.

My favourite music/songs from pogeymon... would probably have to be:
Advanced Battle
BTBAW
and I absolutely LOVE
this one from colosseum.
I guess I like anything with a beat that makes me want to headbang and tap the space bar excessively hard whilst whistling/singing. X3

I decided to dig up that music file and sing to it like 10 minutes ago. Gave me watery eyes just by singing to it, so I get where you're coming from. XD
"I hold you close, and shout the words I only whispered before.
For one more chance, for one last dance; there's not a thing I would not endure."
It's a nice little song, and i've copy/pasted it from new computer to newer computer for over a decade! =P

*Pokes her head into thread* Is it bad that I think the music in the dub kinda.. Sucks? Well, some of them aren't bad, but compared to the REAL music, AKA the Japanese music? Yeah, it fails. A lot. *Puts on her Japanese Pokemon Music playlist on her iPod and wanders away, humming*

Well, a lot of the time, yes the original music, lyrics and dialogue are much better then the dubbed. Thats one of the reasons why I actually have 4 or 5 different copies of Final Fantasy Advent Children. And the one I usually watch the most was the Japanese imported version, for its DRASTICALLY supirior dialogue.
But I've never seen the Japanese versions of the pokemon movies to know any different there. Pokemon movies arent exactly easy to find in english let alone Japanese where I live, which given the large asian population is rather surprising.
...Senna, if you are in Hawaii wtf are you on the computer????

Mine too, and for the same reasons.
Lugia's Song still brings a chill to my spine listening to it now.
The Power of One song adapted from that melody? Not so much. Putting words to the song just seems to dilute the power it has, at least for me.

Heh, Standard 4-Kids affair that... Although I still love the
original opening theme, but that could just be the nostalgia goggles talking.

If you're interested in watching Pokemon episodes there. XD I think the official site also has episodes on it too.
Now as far as the songs go, I didn't mind most of them. I actually still have the soundtrack to the second movie with Lugia's Song on it. <3 The only other song I really liked on it was
Extra Mile by Laura Pausini. I dunno why, I just really like that song. XD
I will agree on the most of the English theme songs. Especially the last for Sinnoh League Victors.
How could
this turn into
this? It actually annoyed me. >>;

Huzzah for catchy J-pop!
Gotta love the effort the japanese put into their opening and closing themes. Some seriously good music comes from that.
As for the english version.... Yeah, horid compared to it's japanese counterpart, but it's not too bad. Certainly nowhere near as bad as the theme for the prior english series.
My ears are melting D:

Ergh, that sounds terribad... I don't mind the older english-versions but a lot of the newer stuff sounds horrible. Advanced battle is the only new-ish one that I liked, it's not even all that "new" anymore, either..
What do you guys think the best Japanese intro is? 'cause all the ones i'm listening to don't sound all that hot.. =x

Ahh the good ol'days. <3 I miss'em. Not to say the new Gens are bad, but I still do miss Red and Blue.
