wonder if the birds were added to the steam pools to give people another spot to try and get delicate wings.

I just went to the places you described. I really liked the steam pools. I hope they open that area at some point.

I think some of these places may have been spruced up for Flightpath scenery, kinda like what the Dun-Morogh Air Field was, b/c you couldn't get to it legitimately without well timed/placed wall climbing and jumps, or a flying mount. The Tauren lake especially seems like it was touched up for a more scenic view when on a Taxi.

Quite possibly.
A couple of these places, though, had -nothing- to start with; the tauren lake was a huge square untextured hole

I guess when they built it up for the Shattering, they figured they'd get creative/realistic, and the result is a bunch of still out-of-the-way but very cool areas!
I'm not actually sure any of them are beneath flight paths, mind, but it's a possibility.

I have no idea whether it's under a route or not either, but the fact that it has no NPCs (or did it?) makes it more likely IMO.

Those are really nice places. When I take breaks from playing WoW, I tend to take my characters to places like these and let them relax, lol. As far as The Steam Pools, I wonder where we will go to get our rare camel mount or if its still the same during the fight. I have been there two times now for the mount. Would be neat to fight Dormus in and amongst the npc's.

Yes I am very lucky when it comes to rares. My first figurine I got on my hunter. Was out there later looking for it again on my paladin for a friend. She was having D/C issues and was offline for like 40 mins and then I found it. So I waited for like 5 mins then jumped on it. As far as other rare mounts i have 3 TLPD's and 3 Aeonaxx's. Only rare pet I am having issues taming is the red/black madexx.

Soon though.....very soon.

There's a new name reference at that resort, btw.

The remote location in Tirisfal made me smile, I hope there will be more to it (here's hoping for a reference to Yellowstone somewhere at some point). I can't get on PTR, but is there anything of resemblance to a tent near the dead fisherman?
Ahahah, Sky, that screenie is absolutely hilarious.

I miss Yellowstone. What I wouldn't give to live there with my husky and go trout fishing every day. Jackson Hole is absolutely beautiful also. If and when I retire, I know I will eventually make it up there. I just don't want to wait the 30 or so years, lol.

I'm posting this for Wain, because he's in bed and I didn't want someone to steal a discovery. He deserves 'em.
There's an isolated flight-only section near the back of Gnomeregon that is now home to a tent, a couple bears, and some very scared dwarves:
If you stand around near the tree a while, you'll hear Jermaine and Anton make a few comments, too. Mostly either Jermaine yelling at the bears, or yelling at Anton to stop drinking their booze and help him!
I take *NO CREDIT* for this find. Just the pictures
The black bears are tameable. Nothing unusual about them, though. The cubs are not.
A find I *will* take credit for is this group of adorable sledding dwarves up above Ironforge, in the mountains. Again, somewhere you can only get while flying:
Their 'sled' is unmanned at the moment. I suspect it's just a matter of moving models around and/or fixing 'sled pathing' though.

Go to the Silverpine border, and find that level 82 Tirisfal Bear. Look at it.
It doesn't even take seeing the bear (which I was unable to find). Just going to the border in that area lags me out completely. There seems to be some loading difficulties, but I don't know what they are.

What is it with dwarves and punching....? *cracks up*
I don't see that third big bear from your screenshots, the one who looks like he's climbing the tree! I wonder if something is wrong on this realm and he's not loading or something...
I like that the parents are a good 4-5 levels higher than the dwarves/most things in the zone now. xD
I found these Coldmine explorers stoking a fire near the sledders:

And apparently, there is a sledding dog named Ollie:

The sleds here appear to be manned!

Or....dogged. >_>

Well, I noticed the bears, including the one that likes sheltering in the tent, but I saw no sign of the dwarves or the bear up the tree either. And those are the funniest bit. So that find is all yours

The new area in Tirisfal is likely the Tirisfal Grove. According to Lore, the original Highborne settled there when they first left Night Elf society. But something "slept under the ground" and drove them partially mad. So they moved further up the coast and founded what is now Quel'thalas.
Hope that helps everyone.
