He most definitely looks like a Jafar, though the obvious choice would have been a serpent!

Teehee, I know. I was like...well, Jafar would be more befitting a serpent, but I can't stop thinking about the name for this bird. Didn't Jafar have a parrot? Ta-da, justification, right there. You find his...slightly less colorful parrot and named him after him.

Zazu wasnt a parrot I dont think .. he was a hornbill or something similar .. if you mean the Simba's babysitter

Iago is Jafar's parrot. Zazu is a hornbill from Lion King--he was the king's major domo.
