If it makes you feel better, I've yet to get my Skoll as well. I even brought out the prairie dog! :p

I have two theories about spirit beasts, it's always worked rather well for me but its rather superstitious


1.) Name him/her, and he/she will come.

2.) You don't find spirit beasts...They find you.

Skoll is worth the wait. I was the second person on my server ever to tame him. He's an amazing kitty-puppy. Unfortunately, I've given him up as of late. I didn't have enough room in my stable to support four spirit beasts and wound up trading him out for my spirit bear. ; ; Safe to say I miss him a lil! I really hope you find a strike of luck! Happy taming!~


P.S. - When I was hunting for Loki, (my Loque) I kept promising myself that if I ever tamed him I'd feed him salmon every day. ....I've never once stopped feeding him salmon since because about an hour later he spawned. x3 :3

ugg are _NPC scans positions accurate? I mean I been waiting at that disk for days.

I'd suggest that instead of camping a single spot, you should try flying around them all. Skoll has what, 5 spawn points? So if he does spawn, the chance that he will spawn on the one spot you're camping on is only 20%.

I always camp for my rares by circling their spawn points, and have never had to wait for more than 4 days.

My server is real old and there is way to many 80's lol. There is some competition in my old spot but now I'm alone in Snowdrift. I found that silly dragon Vyragosa a few times, I helped a druid and another hunter kill it. Though my BF came back so I been leveling an alt with him so it really made me feel better. Right now camping is better then just flying about there is quite a bit of traffic.

Yeah. I can understand your Skoll-less pain. I've yet to find him as well. I'm not worried though; I'm not desperate to tame him. Just something to see and try to find out how he looks, walks, etc. (I never tamed a skinny wolf, though originally I did want too. I remember going to Petopia and planning my WotLK stables. Never followed it either. )

wow thats sad... I hate poeple who kill Spirit Beast when your right around them...

grr its a set back but I figure ill just wait till servers come up today and start camping again, At least I made about six friends, but they all want him too. Oh well I ended up lecturing and correcting a buncha people in local so hopefully people will be more vigilant. And I made a nice little macro to broadcast every now and then. BF offered to use my account to try and camp him early mornings (yay for night shifts) though its going to be sooo sweet when I finally tame him. I mean alot of trails and tribulations but that's why where hunters right? Reminds me way back when in classic when I camped tristfal glades for a rare bat before pets where normalized, or in TBC when I traveled to The BE starting zones on a pvp server to get a dragonhawk hehe, or going to MC when wrath came out to get a core hound (only to figure out I dont like Core hounds that much! doh!).

Still I have to say Skoll is giving me the most trouble yet and its the only spirit beast I like! oh well. I have to thank you guys for all the hugs and kisses and skoll badges and good lucks and moral support or would not even be trying this. Not like im missing anything, allready absent from raids to level with BF hehehe.

All I can say is that as vigilant as you are, it's only a matter of time til you get him. It may actually be a blessing that you're able to check during the day. At least on my server, there aren't as many people on as there are in the evenings. Good luck!!!

damn it, people keep killing him, found him dead again and not by more then 5 minutes. this is frustrating.

nothing yet, nothing new to say about updating mostly the same old same old. I had to put up three tickets; two about broken quests or quest problems and the other about greifing but its taken about three days for the first two and I dono how long about the second. What are skolls spawn times? does he spawn on the hour?

There are no set spawn times for Spirit Beasts, they're all random. They tend to respawn every 10-12 hours roughly, so if you spend a full day camping you should find him.

Don't feel bad, I've had no luck either yet.
