You're not the only one. I prefer pvp and soloing to heroics. xD

Heroics is the fastest way I think, but if I don't feel like it I just use mine to skin the raptors in the Zul'Drak zone all the way north on the map by the instance there. They give lots of leather and there's a chance a minipet will drop.
