My main has about 65k stocked up since WOTLK. I used to play the AH alot, I even hit goldcap long, long ago. Now, though, I don't do that alot. In fact, most of those 60k are just the remains of that old gold. I'm pretty worthless at saving up, and I cba to play the AH anymore.

Under 1000! After recently splashing out 24k on a Sandstone Drake- I've not bothered to restock my gold supply. Don't really need to purchase anything else in-game with gold. I'm not a raider, so enchanting/gemming/gearing really isn't a priority!

I'll say I'm in the six figures across my toons, and that's after a sandstone drake and shadowmourne chest items and some other stuff since Cata started. I'd have more if I played the AH but I find it tedious so I only list stuff sporadically. I guess I just save up very easily because I rarely buy anything (except the fun things like the sandstone drake). I've only bought gear on gdkp runs so in a round-about way I end up making gold. Plus my alts help fund my main. I've never given any of them more than 100g and a few bags. They also cover the key trade skills I need and friends provide the rest for free.

Ohh I thought I was kind of rich, now I look poor compared to you guys.
I saved up 16k though for my Traveler's Mammoth. That makes me feel a little better.

WOW most people have a tone of money more then I do LOL.

On most of my toons (caped toons that is) it is a lil under 1k. On my 84 war ex main that has 310 flying it is around 2k+. Most my money goes into epic flying.

I think the most I've had was less then 6k.

My horde server toons have a collected approx 15k-ish and my ally server toons have very very little... maybe a few thousand.. qq

Well, for those who are level 85 or close to it and in need of gold... an easy way to earn some is to do older instances. Some of the BC ones are worth a lot (some will be nerfed in next patch though), even if you go with a group. Like Magtheridon is 500g if you solo it. And always loot everything - leaving gray items behind is like throwing away gold.

I'd be happy to show you how to play the AH, though truth be told, I did drop below 500k this week. I'm still quite unhappy about that.

Edit - and after selling an epic and doing dailies, I'm up to 23k. If I combine all my character's money (alliance side!) I think I have almost 30k.

on wyrmrest i have about 19k. Once i reach 23k it will drop down to a few gold cause i'll be buying the vendor mats for my sandstone drake (yay for high lvl gobby to buy them with ^^)

I dipped back down to 22k or so in the wake of my hunter hitting 85 and powerleveling Leatherworking from scratch (fffffff lowbie leather fffffffffffff), but then alts happened and I inadvertently shuffled back up over 30k. That includes buying myself a new 4-tab private guild bank, oy....

I hate the bejeebles out of the AH, and avoid it as if it existed to touch me in bad places and then steal my money (which it basically does). However I reeeeeeeally like questing. Lots. Dailies, zones, I don't care, BRING THEM ON! And then I roll up another alt to blast through four zones and a max-level rep grind, and then a THIRD alt does the same, and somehow this just keeps happening to me. The pattern started back in BC, where I did ALL OF NETHERSTORM, and then dragged an alt out there and did it again and suddenly I had enough money to do something besides be broke all the time. That bought me my first epic flying mount. Sat on that stupid zoomflapcat for a week straight doing nothing but mining, as it was the best thinly veiled excuse to fly in circles I could think of. And then sold the metal because why the heck would I need it? And then here comes the third alt through Netherstorm...

Rep grinds via daily quests were the best thing to happen to me, I swear. I think it was the 6th alt that got to buy epic flying the moment it hit level 70. These days my trash alts get epic flying because WHY NOT.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I guess I'm everything that's wrong with WoW's economy, as I might as well not be participating....
