Seriously.
Tell him there's this druid running around, insulting his mother. White fur. NE model. Ripped ears? Usually with a bronze drake? I'm sure he'll take offense.

Two of my toons have Stood in the Fire so far, my main, Cerah, in Uldum, and my warlock Emielee, in Taranis. He seems to like frying deserts, for some strange reason.
I just wish I'd actually
see him before my toons die, for once!
btw, Crabby's still up on the Armoury! /loves. When I go back online, I'm hunting down Ghostcrawler or a blue spikey crab on Cerah just so I can have my own Crabby!

In the face!
I've only seen Deathwing fly over once, in Twilight Highlands, and I was nowhere near him. Somehow I managed to get the achievement when I flew over one of his remaining flame patches, even though it didn't as much as hurt me!

I was pretty Heart-sick over my Hunter never having got the achievement for -so- long after all my friends did. One day I was Burning Steppes to head back to Stormwind, and *JUST* as I was about to completely leave the map...he spawns right ontop of me. And I do mean ontop of me, I was INSIDE Deathwing. lol.
It happened so quick I didnt get a chance to react or anything. But I got my achievement I could have cared less at that point.
Then, I was leather farming on my druid in Twilight Highlands and suddenly the sky turns red....I *glee* and turn on my fraps recorder, bird form, and fly up into the air to wait for'em. Got me a quick little movie of the achievement. So Im pretty much happy now.

The only time I've ever met Deathwing was because a guildy got the achievement in Uldum, thankfully I was in Stormwind at the time, so I raced to the portal, praying I could get the achievement =D Then again, my boyfriend was in Tanaris at the time, and still managed to get it after porting, which was odd, I didn't think it would last that long
But yes, I haven't seen Deathwing nearly as much as I'd like, especially on my own terms. He is definately one of my favourite 'bad guys' (the scene of the quest in the Badlands still haunts me...).

Really? Jeez. I'm about ready to petition for a 'Lucky Deathwing' signature. That danged dragon hasn't roasted any of my characters. I kinda came close on Saturday, but no dice.
By 'close' I mean that I was doing my never-ending searching for Krush and decided to take a break and farm up some more jasmine up in Twilight Highlands for raid cauldrons. As I'm heading back to the 'inn' at Nessingwary's camp, a friend asks if I want to do a couple randoms on our low-50s alts. Sure, why not? I hop on over to my pally. Since my friend and her brother are a tank/healer combo, we get an instance right away. About 5 minutes into the run, I see a guildie get the Stands In Fire achivement. A quick look and...he's up in Twilight Highlands.
Bah. Stupid Deathwing.

Alt Death Knight: 8

Really quite annoying. The multitude of deaths is because I have a habit of leaving the computer for about fifteen minutes every half hour or so. That means that the time I spend in-game is much higher than for someone who logs off.
Wow, I've come across him only once, and I attempted to "stand in the fire" but yet somehow even after the screen went Red and flames were all around me, I didnt get hit.
Thats nuts though. I think he likes you

Yes, it happens. The sky in the zone will go red, there may even be sound effects (not sure; heard something last time he visited a zone I was in). He will fly through the zone, breathing fire that kills very quickly. The flames stay on the ground for about a minute afterward, but aren't deadly anymore - you need to be hit by the flames as they come out of his mouth. It's frustrating. I managed to get the achievement by flying through a flame right after it appeared on teh ground, losing some of my health but not dying. He later made sure I died proper by torching me in Uldum.

And I want the acheivement. ;^;
Tell him to find a small little cow huntress on the noobish realm of Terenas and toast her while she's flying aimlessly around Kalimdor. :<

He's BBQ'd my main three times now. Twice while digging up stuff for arch in Uldum, and once while killing critters in EPL. My friend is gonna so hate me, because he's been trying to get killed by Deathwing for weeks now, and was with me in EPL but had to log out about 5 mins before Deathwing came through. He's prolly gonna /facepalm and /headdesk when I tell him about it later tonight.

You actually can die to flames already on the ground if they're in a large enough concentration. That's how I got the achievement on Veeka - I missed his initial torching and landed in the Krazzworks, lagged something terrible and walked away with an achievement. :P
He torched Caboodle in Tanaris good and proper. It was the first time I actually felt compelled to run away from something in a video game. xP

I don't know if you guys are wearing some kind of dragon perfume, but I've only encountered Deathwing once, in Uldum, a couple of weeks after Cataclysm launched.
