I don't even know the spawn timers, but I got so sick of camping from the last expansion that I just checked several times a day and flew over the paths/spawn points laid out by NPCScan Overlay. I got the blue Madexx at 7:30pm server time on SoE yesterday as a random check before I skipped off to my dog agility class. I got up about 5-10 minutes early each morning to check spawn points as well. Seemed to work well.

Lol im still camping unfort. I am hopefully gonna get him but I am not getting my hopes up.

People said he spawned in Brown early this morning so the odds are brown is going to spawn again /pray

/sigh well wish my luck im going hardcore.

Finally BLUE Madexx i'm so happy one week of endless camping. Patience was my answer

Madexx spawns every 12-15 hours without fail.

He has a few rotations that reset every week.
One rotation has a bugged Red Madexx that spawns then despawns very quickly.
This is similar to the blood seeker bat in Deepholme.

It is unconfirmed if this despawn happens with the blue madexx but my team has reported 2 similar weird spawns in a weeks worth of camping.

This despawn is so crappy that when the red madex was found tames were attempted and it despawned mid tame. This has happened several times on skullcrusher but never more then twice per week.
The hunters union team (not a guild--its a group that farms rares/ prevents ganks/ hunts rare pet killers/ farms mounts/and achieves) regularly camps in uldum for madexx.

Green is the rarest spawn ("maybe" 1x per week). The others are equally rare when looking at a weeks worth of spawn times. Brown and Blue have on occasion spawned twice in the same day, but then less during the rest of the week.

On our server Green Madexx has been killed 3x and tamed 6x give or take--each tame of green except one has been done by a member of the h.u. (Two Alliance Hunters and 3 Horde members out of our 43 members). Murgath being Server first (horde), Kanashimi being first Alliance on server. Myself being second Horde, Nightside being 2nd Alliance on Server, Wilmer being 3rd Horde.

Hope this helps. Madexx and most rares tend to skip 2 spawns per week. We believe this has something to do with the server restarts.

A good rule of thumb for 12 hour spawned pets is be there 2 hrs b4 and 2 hours after 12 hr mark of last spawn (kill or tame of last spawned pet does have effects on its respawn)

--having 3 or 4 friends camping with you is smart, npc scanner and macro is smart Guild perk for mass summon is smart. There are a few other tricks with Eagle Eye etc. But we wont give away all of our trade secrets and macros in one Post LoL.

We have Madexx...Sambas..Karoma..Terrorpene..Ghostcrawler On Farm.

Currently working on Farming Tlpd (5x+per week spawn), Aeeonax 3x+ per week spawn).

I am the only hunter in group to have both. Tlpd is more predictable --Yes he spawns at least 5x per week anyone that says he doesn't lies. But both are either a camp of patience or a luck of right place /right time (we hate those people )

p.s. don't believe the hype hunters can range attack the head of aeeonax with no issues at all.. screw that melee nonsense.

Madexx is closer to 10-15 hours, but can and does occasionally spawn outside of that window. Color is completely and utterly RNG, there is no rotation. He does not despawn, a friend watched one for over an hour as it wandered around untouched.

TLPD is also RNG. He is a rarespawn of Vyragosa, so yeah, 5x a week is possible, but he can also go five weeks without spawning.

The Aeonaxx attack bug was fixed, yes. Early Cata you did have to melee him down, though.
