In all honesty, I wasn't aiming the majority of the rant at you. It was mostly a rant in general. The part saying that because it's not unique does not mean it's not special was the part directed at you. In fact, I never once implied you said anything about special. I brought that up myself, from your argument that it's not unique anymore.

Also, it is technically still rare in the sense of rare spawn. You said rare/unique, which, to most, translates as special, hence why I was talking about it. Nice going on completely missing what I was actually talking about.

This non-stop argument of, "Brown Madexx is worthless. I want it to GTFO." is on my nerves.

I suppose we should get rid of King Mosh. There's red devilsaurs just like him in the area. And how about Rak'shiri? Shy is only a hop, skip and a jump away. I know! Let's take Hawkbane back out, after all, you can just fly down to STV for Bang instead of going allll the way out to Skettis.

You know why people don't like that? Because for some people, they don't give a damn about how rare or shiny it is. They -know- what they like, and if rare and shiny are THAT big a pulling factor for you, aren't you just like that person who just got that new shiny frost wyrm mount?

Frankly, I think people need to stop freaking out over Madexx.

Also, the whole "female brain derping" irked me. Don't even start there.

Actually, I felt like my post was sort of hostile. Ergo, in order to reduce the hostility of said post, I feel it can be summarized by a picture.

That said, special is a relative thing. It can be a pet with a common skin you bond to more than you thought. Or a rare that became common and the hunt stays with you. That's part of the joy of pets I think. There's /so/ many options it's easy to stand out.

Let's just say one side has the defensive wording choice of a barbarian, the other side overreacted to an innocuous opinion with too much fist-pumping fervor, and call it quits please.

Personally, I rarely see Madexx pulled out at all; none of them ever get cached until I poke into my hunter's stable, and the ones that do I just have to assume are the recent-tame-d'jour. The red and blue ones seem to stand out the most though.

Misogyny is a pretty crappy behavior, regardless. Just sayin'. Attacking someone's gender is a lousy tactic.

But anyway, I do get compliments though - on my madexxes. People seem to like them, but I rarely see them. I wonder if it's due to them being hard to get or just being scorpids.

Blue Madexx ftw. If I saw another color I'd probably rehome it. I might think about green but other than that Blue is where my heart is XD Of course blues have always been my favorite colors. Navy blue.. purrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Even more so as it has it's own ID 50154 compared to the Venomscales, with their ID being 51673.

Like most, I would most likey pick green or blue... But unlike most.. I've actually have never had a facination with madexx at all, I even if I did stumbled into it, I would most likey find some one whom did like it.

If you didn't want your rant taken a clear assault on me then you shouldn't have quoted my post and then when on and on and on like you did.

Literally, rare/unique means rare/unique and special means special to most people. I'm not quite sure how the 3 get confused with each other when they're both used in different contexts. Then again, it could be that your connotation of rare/unique DOES translate into special so I digress.

Furthermore, my bad for the gender attack. Tho I don't believe they were the "choice words of a barbarian" as they were called out, tho I'd take that as a compliment any day even tho it was a passive insult directed at me, nor do I feel as tho they were misogynistic in nature as by definition there was no hatred or mistrust involved in said statement.

Perhaps. In truth, I probably should have. But I forgot at the time, being too wrapped up in my rant. It happens. I guess I should've remembered to do so, but, eh, not everyone's perfect. My problem? Anywho.. Since this is probably going to get out of hand like ALL Madexx threads that aren't tame threads.. I'll just stop here. This thread isn't really meant for this argument anyway. But.. I will say this; people should just quit the hate. All it does is get the community riled up and turns good threads into raging piles of stupid arguments. There is no real reason for the hate anyway, no way to truly justify it, which just makes matters worse, especially since some people just won't let it go despite that. I admit, I have a problem about letting this whole thing go too.. I'm probably the most pro-brown Madexx person on these forums, and one of the most in the whole Hunter population. But I have to say I'm getting tired of it, as much as I'm all for a good round of protecting my lovely little scorpid.. It just gets old real fast, both the hate and the arguments in general. So.. For the good of the community, I'd say it's just best to leave brown Madexx and even the common one as they are and quit the hated on them.

My personal favorite is Blue. Its like his eys are staring into your soul. I got mine yesterday in blue and im very happy

1. Black, love the two toned black with red.
2. Blue, totally a pretty color and the spots don't look like pus filled blisters. (I abandoned my green due to that >.<)

I have the blue, green and red. All three are named Rocky. I am amused that I have a color changing crab named Indecisive, and now I almost have color changing scorpions. TBH, I pull out the one that matches what Im wearing that day.

But I love the red because she has purple eyes. I have a thing for purple/orange pets, and the majority of my pets are purple/orange. Well, the ones that have choices.

I own a Black myself, but really wanted a Blue.....so my best friend tames a Blue, when she really wanted a Black. Sigh, Karma you are so cruel. =P

Now I have all Madexx colors in my stable! Thing is.. they take up a LOT of space and I probably will never use them since they are tenacity and Jadefang is better buffwise+pvp. It was a nice challenge getting them all, but when new rares come I cant decide which one to abandon after the brown one I like all of the except brown tbh. Which color stands out the most? Green?

So for I have/seen Black, Blue, and Green. My hunter has a color scheme of mostly Red/green so when I first got the black, I thought this would be fine as he had some red in it. Then later I spotted the blue. That also was a pretty color, but on the wrong hunter, so it was rehomed. Then came the Green and instant love. So Green for Xephyr, and if blue shows back up... that's the color for Bitka

Brown reminds me of steampunk. I love my Jackpot.

I got the green one when I wasn't looking for it (and I almost never used it) but after I saw a member post on here with their blue one I was in love. I camped it until I got my blueee. I love my Ampersand to deathhh

...sadly, loving him doesn't mean HAVING him. Stupid spawntimes. Going on a month-long WoW-free (well, whole-internet-free, actually) vacation probably doesn't help my odds either.

Red madexx that is all but i'd enjoy any madexx at this point
