Oh yes, and the sand crawler worms from HFP (the ones that burrow and are currently untamable) - imo if they would just design an "aboveground" animation for these guys they would give the worm family a big boost in the cool department.
All those hooked legs, segmented chitin and "alien-ish" face would make for a bucket or two of awesomesauce - and as an added bonus it would be a lot simpler than making something from scratch.

Bats, Sporebats, Nether rays, I say gorillas need a bit more of love, maybe core hounds, devilsaurs and tallstriders for the ones that need new skins.

For some reason, I gotta say turtles. Something about the models seems wonky to me and I'd love to see new turtles with new models [yes, I know about Terrorpene and Ghamoo-ra, but still!]. And then after turtles I would say bears! I'm not too fond of how they move and feel like they could use a new skeleton or something.

Hyena's, Bears, tallstriders and bats need graphical overhauls.
Any any family that has under 10 different skins really should get some more skins.
Hyena's need to get rid of the uni-boob, and have some posture work and dental work done. Bears really need to have the ass-in-air fixed, Actual bears in real life have thier shoulders higher then thier butts. Talstriders need texture, atm they look like plucked anorexic turkeys (to me) And bats need a complete makeover, they are just so akward looking and one of thee least seen pets in-game.

In fairness, female worgen need a lot of love and bug fixes in my humble opinion.
That said, I think sporebats, worms and hyenas could use some love too.

*shakes cane* You people leave my worgs alone! Take your fancy Northrend'n worgs and Skolls and Karomas and get off my lawn!
I think one of the biggest arguments against Blizzard not updating our PC
models - not skins - already is because people are attached to them. The same applies to a lot of pets. Some people like their assbears, some people like their gimpworgs(/growls).
How are tallstriders anorexic? O_o They don't look malnourished to me at all. They're closer to
Cassowaries and
Moas than anything else.
As for pets that I'd like to see get a new model and/or model tweaks...fix the way eagles fly and I will be happy forever. I don't think anything else
needs to be changed, although I'd like my chimaera to be able to land. Real life critters /=/ WoW critters. So I don't mind the assbears and gimpworgs and...well, yeah, bats need love.
In the skin department, I would really like to see more sporebats, but there really isn't much else you can do with them. Anything - and I mean anything - besides cats. No more cats. This is not World of Catcraft: Cat-aclysm. >:c

As a lot of you have already said, bats, bears and hyenas definately need more love, be that updated models or skin choices. I'd also like to see non-cobra snakes added to the Serpents family. The Dune Rattler in the beta was such a tease!
As for more skins, I would love to see some more colour options for classic Silithids, and especially for Devilsaurs. I mean, the Devilsaur Queen was a perfect opportunity to make a new skin, but they went with the already-overused Tyrant/King Mosh/King Dred skin instead. What gives?
Overall, I'm mostly happy with the variety we've been given in this expansion so far. I especially love the Cata crocolisk skins, and the new/old colour options for Warpstalkers.

Serpents, definitely. Do not like their models at all, all you get to choose from is different colored cobras :\ Would be way awesome to have the boa constrictor type pet with the constrict ability like the Salramm encounter.

I'd say almost every classic family. The most outdated are cats, bears, wolves (and the northrend ones need a new walking animation, what's wrong with one leg of them??), birds of prey (owls, eagles need more textures, and please make the black raven in Gilneas/Stonetalon beasts and tamable!) boars, hyenas, tallstriders all need more love.

Maybe not a new skin per se, but fix that silly pixelated edging around 99% of 2d fur! It's especially noticable on old-world worgs, which makes me sad...I loooooove my fluffy wolves, but that edging just bugs me to death.

I'm pretty sure that no one is fond of the hyena's shattered ribcage, the wonky and boneless hind feet of bats, or the old cat model's sorry excuse for teeth:
