Yes, I enjoy pulling out my more neglected pets when I'm trying to dig up some rares: I never pvp, so it's a good opportunity to give the pvp pets some love!

My fox, Pandora, was something I really wanted and went out to go grab as soon as I had the stable space to do so. Unfortunately, I just really haven't ended up bonding much with her—partially because she's relatively tiny (and I like taller pets in general), partially because her racial special is the same as Vorparadis (my tallstrider from the pet challenge that I ended up enjoying immensely) and isn't very useful in everyday situations anyway, and partially because she's got the same animations as wolves I've been seeing since mid-2004.
I'd also always wanted Naratari, my Kurken (the white core hound), since the model came out in the form of Omen for the first Lunar Festival, but like most core hounds, she's too blocky when shrunk down to hunter pet-size and moves funny and that bothers me. Plus, then Chromaggus became tameable and Vonkarma totally outshadowed her
Related, Arcturius looked AMAZING on another hunter, tanking Omen this past Lunar Festival, and that convinced me that I wanted him. A guildmate found him wandering around in Grizzly Hills just after I was high enough to tame him and I flew out (at 150%, curse my pinchpurse nature for alts' flying skill!) to go grab him... but in practice I really haven't enjoyed him for the same reasons that, when I decided to become our guild's main tank for TBC, I didn't stick with my druid (who had been my main as resto for the entirety of classic). Bear butt is huge and ugly and obnoxious, even if it is semi-transparent.

Haha I hear you. I have found one really nice use for cunning pets though - combine maxed out mobility with every defensive talent you can get your hands on, and you have a pet that rocks at farming mobs for mats (like leatherworking, elementals, or etc).

Lol I know what you mean exactly. The one reason I love Arcturis though is that his butt really does fade out a lot (especially compared to other ghostly pets, it looks like they made an effort to phase his butt out and I'd like to think it was to diminish its huge effect O_o)

I regret to say that I have become sort of indifferent toward Dionysius, my green dino. I camped him for almost a year, and ended up taming him on the same night that I got Kingslayer back in patch 3.3. That said, I would never abandon him due to his history and the amount of trouble I went through to get him.
I have similar feelings toward my Chrommagus. I only keep him around because I need a corehound sometimes and I paid 500g for a run through BWL to get him.
