I can haz giant, flaming Devilsaur? Or maybe a Wind Serpent with the Shadow Priest aura?

All I want to say is that I want the less loved families to get some nice rareskins from this. I want a Tallstrider with -feathers- dang it... Or a rhino of some sort. OR a worm! (Non jormangar, or a new model altogether. )

Same server, spawned around 12:59 am server (US PVE PTR Server), tamed at exactly 1:01 am server.

How hard does he hit ? I'm thinking with the Engineering parachute cloak enchantment thing, I could fly next to him, dismount, activate the cloak, use Concussive Shot on him and then trap him when I fall to the ground, but I don't wanna try it the first time I see him and lose him to someone.

His moonfire hits pretty hard (34676). My first attempt, I dropped down and the damage from the fall was okay, but then he one shot me with the attack.
On my second attempt, what I did was sit on top of the statue of Malorne's head. I only had to fly up a small amount, and the drop down after shooting him didn't do -any- damage. After I landed, I put down a freezing trap (and he can be frozen) and tamed as soon as he was in range.

Note two images below that I won't put up here, of roughly the height you have to fly up to to hit him, and roughly the hight that he flies at.

Aaaaaaaaand tamed him again. This time I found him at 3:31 AM server PTR server time. And yes, that is normally what I say when I find a rare <.<;



Tamed my second *wince* Ban'thalos at 3:42 AM PTR server... but of course the servers reset.

This is the exact heighth to which you have to fly up to reach him on top of Malorne's head.


And as you see here, the drop does no damage!


And I actually froze him quickly enough to were he did not get a chance to hit me. His moonfire has a cast time, so he will NOT hit you while he is flying lower.

LOL you tamed him again?! Oh nice SSs! So the elk head seems to be the best spot to tame this little guy I am just happy to hear that things are spawning on the server, kitty spawned this morning to I think at 6 ish or so, so safe to assume they do not share spawn timers between the birdies and the cat, though I am not sure if more then one SB can be up at a time.

Side note: anyone find terrorpene lately?

Terrorpene actually turned up last night! He was hard to spot with the graphical error still in place, and as was stated last night, he looks like an elderly turtle in his portrait picture now. "Hey you kids, GET OFF MY LAVA POOL!"

He did get tamed, naturally.

Magria's looking bluer and bluer and now i dunno if i want her... Ban'thalos still looks pretty cool, he seems more solid then Olm so i may drop Olm and tame Banny

So, I finally hopped into the PTR bandwagon and soon noticed this beauty flying high up there. First couple of tries ended in me dying due to either fall damage or him moonfiring me to death - unsurprisingly.

Then I had an idea: I brought out another pet, set up a macro to MD on it, then proceeded to fly up to pull the beast, Misdirecting him along with his death rays to said unfortunate pet, allowing me to parachute down. Once down, I froze him, rezzed and dismissed my pet and proceeded to tame him, resulting in me taking no damage whatsoever. ^^

Absolutely genius, Golden. Kudos for good thinking.
