Does he finish casting Deth Strike (and consume the health) if you disengage out of melee range while he casts it?

if it takes 36 mins to get him halfway... and the dozens of hunters trying to steal eachothers kill...
on pve servers: near impossible
on pvp servers: impossible

Oh... this shall be a challenging tame indeed. x.x

he's in the molten front area its not really part of a quest or anything but i have unlocked both the shadow wardens and the druids already. duno if that would change anything

slowly frost traps and concussive shot slow him down and then its just u avoiding getting into melee range and dpsing him down to 8 million hp.

doing it at 3am on the PTR is one thing, cant imagin how unfun this will be on live with people everywhere or on a pvp and having some opposite faction come gank u 35 minutes into u trying to tame it.

He is kinda out of the way i wouldnt have noticed him if I hadnt been tracking beasts.

Hmm, if he's susceptible to Concussive Shot along with the Ice Trap, I'd assume he can be affected by pet abilities as well. I'd probably tame a disposable chimaera and utilize their slowing prowess to help with the kiting.

I hope they phase you once you start the battle cause it will suck on pvp realms

oh i was guna add that my bow broke midway through the last tame so if u have to make multiple attempts either bring a jeeves(or something similar) or bring backup ranged weapons. dont want to end up at 13mil hp and not have a ranged weapon

I still wonder if there's a way to make him use Deth Strike and not be killed by it...it seems too...unique for it not to play into the taming other than a 'stay the hell out of melee' mechanism.
