The first pic erwil posted is one of his spawn points. Rawr has another screenshot in this thread, added as an attachment is another picture, if you look at the highest rock to the far right.

And I think it is the middle rock in this pic that either of them spawns on. Or just either rock, you will reach them anyway. It is the northern spawnpoint.

I managed to get through the furnace a few times without dying, but on both times I was a bit dumb and scurried off the ledge instead. Will be wiser next time ¬.¬ If you run by the left side of the flames, you'll easily avoid most of the damage. Just a case of not running through Kirix after that, if he happens to be up.

I also (after a total fail attempt) found a way on the right. You do have to go through the fire, but if you hug the right, there's a few spots where you'll be safe where you can stop and heal. I brought out one of my spirit beasts, ran through to 1st safe spot, popped heal, mounted again, ran til I found another, this time I ate some food so I didn't have to wait for CD, and then the next run I managed to come out on the other side (near the circular fissure looking thing). Were a lot of other hunters on various floating rocks camping for Skarr or the crab though, so I left them to it.

Speaking of.. anyone on Llane camping them?

I just tamed Skarr and seen over 4 crabs spawn, easiest way to check every spawn without messing around with mobs is climbing to the top of the volcano, with _NPC scan
and using eagle eye now and then

I can't seem to figure out where on the map "spawn3" is, could you post a picture showing it a bit better?

The spot on "spawn2" is where I saw Skarr spawn too.

In 10 minutes, it is 6 hours since the last cat/crab was tamed. I am getting so anxious, because it should pop soon, unless that other hunter on the other side of the Fireplume got the spawn when I didn't notice. He logged off though, so there might be that possibility.

Thank you all- I now know the spawns and I am ready to get me a metal cat

:O 10:30 PM and i got Skarr- My hypothesis is that the spawn time is 6 to 12 hours for both because last night i camped it from crab spawn at 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM soo thats about 9 hours then around 10 it was tamed showing its in range then it spawned tonight at 10 showing the 12 hour spawn time exactly at 10:30 after restart so it must have reset =D

I refuse to believe in 6-12 hours, because 3-6 hours sounds so good. >.<

I hope it is 3-6 =p but now im gonna try and go for deth'tilac any suggestions on how to do it and the people that i should have? like rogues warriors etc

I got Skarr! It spawned at 1pm, 7 hours after server restart. I was alone in that area, and only died once. Happies! Now I can help a friend camp it, and keep looking for my Ankha.

I don't know shit about her, to be honest :p I might read up on it to be ready if I ever see it though.
