While reading this thread, I remembered to have met some tiny crabs in Durotar.
This is the Surf Crawler (levels 5-6):
An this is the Pygmy Surf Crawler (levels 2-3):
They both used to be bigger, I think... The Pygmy one could be intended to be smaller, because of his name, but there are mature ones (levels 7-8) as well, and I didn't notice a difference beteween the Mature and the normal ones...
And then something the opposite:
I started a new Belf hunter. She has Odin her dragonhawk on her side and I bought her a companion pet dragonhawk. And this pet GREW! Where you buy them, they are fluttering around in the size they used to have, but if you call your companion it's huge....

The Duneshore Crabs at the southern end of Tanaris (Land's End Beach) also seem to be rather small.

I found an other tiny beast.
This is a boar in the northern Barrens. I found it close to Ashenvale with my level 22 Hunter. Even compared to her still small cat, this boar looks really small.

OMG I just bought the Dragonhawks for my other hunter, and I summoned and thought, "On Thespis' right butt cheek, it's HUGE!! What I'm I going to do with you?" Good to know that others have noticed as well. Maybe a Dev's messing with us? XD

While this guy is far from being a pet - in fact he's a Demon in Hellfire Peninsula - I found his size to be REALLY out of place so will post him here.
Meet Z'kral - and spend just a moment comparing him to one of his underlings next to him. I remember him being WAY bigger in the past, and knowing the size this model usually shows up in.. He may have had a bit too much Baby Spice.

That's just downright bizarre. And yes, he used to be HUGE!

Dunno if these guys are 'as intended' to be like this or not, but the Ironwood Buzzers just look too tiny to be level47-48.
[Btw, My Void has the most epic name ever.]

Yep, those buzzers were in the first wave of tiny creatures to be spotted.

(Agreed on your VW's name!)

Yep, they all grow to normal size when tamed, sadly - but then again, it doesn't seem intentional that they're that small to begin with. x_x
Thanks for pointing out LoShall; never even heard of that little guy before.

Im glad I wasnt the only one noticing some of these.
In a somewhat related note, Ive always thought the
Vicious Black Bears of Hillsbrad were
WAYYYY oversized for their area/level.

The Earthborers in Ragefire Chasm seem to be affected too.

Try and find one of those and the huge bears close to each other and screencap that! Epic size difference right there. XD

I really wish the glyph of minor proportions (is that what it's called? I'm a bit fuzzy this morning) would actually make the proportions majorly minor.. erm... much smaller.
it would be fun to have a truly tiny pet.

The Bloodmoon Worgen in Grizzly Hills look like pups when compared to the named Worgen mobs in the same area. XD
And I just noticed how these screenies show how far I've leveled my Rogue so far. XD

The Duneclaw Broodlings in Tanaris (the Duneclaw Matriarch's babies) are critter-sized now. I'm pretty sure they used to be only a little smaller than their mother.

In Darkshore, the
Vile Spray water elementals seem to appear in two sizes: small and tiny. I can try to get a screenshot.
ETA with screenshot. Both are level 9 Vile Sprays.
At the time, I thought it was intentional, for variety. Now I'm wondering if some Vile Sprays fell victim to critterfication!
