Or, you know, it's a quest hub, and people can afk or tab out or just sit and watch the scenery. ;) While there are a large number of douchebags you can't really guess the intent of people just sitting around - that's not fair to them or to your sanity. I love perching on the Malorne statue, or floating around and just looking around - I certainly don't plan on killing anything or taking anything away from someone. :S

happened to me 7times all by hunters

Well, some sit, and some constantly run around in circles. All of these people I watched finish their quests...so yeah. Some might be hanging out for hunter friends to help tame, some might be just idling, but for the ones running around in circles....yeah, I'd rather be paranoid then to think that everything is fine and dandy only to have my hopes crushed. ....Plus the alliance outnumbers Horde on my server, I've seen my fair share of grief from their side to -not- be paranoid.

Expect the worst and you won't be disappointed.

Sure some will be griefers, sure. But consider 99.99% of the Wow population (based on some figures I pulled out of my, er, head) are not aware that these rares exist till they see them and are certainly not aware that they represent rare colours for hunters to tame. If all I'd ever done was play my shammy and had never found this site, I would have attacked and tried to kill the rare too. I would have assumed it was probably just another rare with something good as a reward. Please don't get angry with these players until you know for certain that they're aware of what these rares represent.

I meant waiting to tame at all. Wandering off and doing other things. Or watching Kirix OWN PEOPLE IN THE FACE. Because he does that.

Yep he did that on my realm until I helped someone tame him.... all those corpses... the horror.

Oh, I'm not angry. They're free to do what they want. It just puts me on edge is all! I almost lost my Sambas to a bear druid who 'Already had him and had to wait a week to tame him' on his own hunter, but insisted that since it was Horde that was trying to tame it, that it needed to die? I have no doubt some do not know, I do know that not all are oblivious. On the other hand, these pets were stated as pets waaaaaay before the release of this patch on just about every major WoW site that I can think of. It's pretty cut and dry which ones are hunter related this time around. Now, I will go so far as to say, that yes not everyone knows about those sites, so I will take that into consideration.

I don't get angry until something gets killed out from under me for no reason, or a fight for aggro for a tame they didn't earn the right to. There have been so many horror stories already....it's kinda sad. I'm almost not looking forward to the Ban'th spawn in fears that I'm going to end up posting my own horror story instead of a success story. (And yes, raising a newb hunter up on this server and being here for a year has made me this way....)

I just think that people are jerks and im never dissapointed but sometimes im surprised! lol

Oh, I try not to assume the worst of people. I was just horrified the paladin LAUGHED AT US after killing the spider. Hope he enjoys his plate repair bill. :/ I will park Novi and do things I enjoy like chat, read, play Harvest Moon and prepare myself to pull off the lava hop at the right moment.

I do understand it is easy to say just wait til the hype dies down, but then if you would really like to tame a certain skin, and 1/2 way through said tame, another hunter comes along and purposely interrupts your tame to get you killed, then takes the pet, it's all a bit sad....

anyways, yeah I'm just a bit disheartened that yes this happened to me last night and has made me ask myself... why bother really.

It's kind of like saying, why would you want to pay full price for the skirt when you can wait 2 years and it will be in the bargain bin? Anyways I'm just ranting, sorry.
