Look at what he titled the thread. "tamed". He used the word "tamed" and last time I check, Mages don't have that ability. Also not to mention he used the word specifically so people would come and see his thread where he killed them all.

And sure, he has a right to kill them if he wants to, they're rares in a game after all. I support any class willing to try and kill these guys if they want to, but when you come to a forum where an entire class hopes to actually tame them for their class... that's salt in the wounds for some.

Sure, he doesn't deserve a ban, but it's trolling, lol.

Honestly if he wanted to get a better rise out of the mob of shrieking never-kill-anythingers he probably should have went with 'killed'. :P Subtlety has its place, but it's not always the best for getting a reaction.

I'm not here to defend his trolling or argue about whether he is or not. That honestly doesn't matter to me. I'm just a little shocked(and disappointed) in the reactions, although I guess I shouldn't expect much else since the patch has everyone suffering varying levels of crazy and a mob that was killed on a completely unrelated server at an unspecific time is worth getting upset over. Not to mention trying to chase someone out. Friendly community here, remember guys.

My question still stands, though! How hard/easy was it?

I was being facetious with my post. Although I do get sad seeing a rare dead, I know they will respawn later. It's not like they're limited to 5 spawns per server.

Fair enough, Nub. Personally I'd react much more kindly if it was just laid out as the truth: at least I'd respect the person that posted. Because of how this was posted, though, I really don't have any reason to. I am not, however, the majority of the forums, which is proved to me over and over again. xD

For one moment I thought you were talking about the OP - I went "OP IS NOAH MESSING WITH US" and then I realized you meant the rare limit.

Wasn't something like that rumored to have been in place on NR? Like 5 rares up at a time or something?

It might have been three...I thought 8 at first and I was like "Wait, that sounds like too many.".

But yeah. Three rares up at a time per realm. It'd be like something right out of a nightmare.

Yes he is trolling. He was "triple dared" (exact quote) on MMO-Champion forum to post the thread here to tick off the hunters to which he did this and then linked it back in their forums with "for your amusement" (quote) as the only other text than the link. Does not deserve a ban? Considering he had to do the homework to know where they were, he deserves far worse. 48 hours of login time being constantly killed by hunters and then life banned so he cannot ever play the game again. And the same for anyone who kills rares instead of getting a hunter to tame or at least do their best. I do kill rares on my hunter because I don't want an ally to come by and get the tame since I am a Horde hunter and I would do the same on my ally hunter if I did not want the pet myself. Yet before I do, I always do a /who for hunters online and ask people if they want it first. I could personally give a care less for the new rares since I already have a bird and the 2 cats are just re-skins of Gondria and I don't like the spiders because I despise spiders for real. I have Jadefang and had to fight a mage for the tame because they said they would attack it if it spawned and were only there for the damn vanity pet. And yes, I did come back when there were no hunters after taming and kill for the vanity pet so I could have both out. While looking for said vanity pet, I even had an ally hunter who wanted to tame it there. I kept them company and tried to be a good luck charm for them. They did tame it and I cheered for them and danced. Helped make a friend that way as I now have a worgen that I can team up with them for playtime. And the guy was even told that he could make more money selling the spawn than the item is worth which you can. I made 500g just for spotting Sambas on my pally and telling a hunter who was looking for him. So OP, be sure to think about your pocketbook next time you kill a rare. You could get more for helping a hunter than not. Also never know when that same hunter might be in a group with you and just happen to misdirect to you so the boss kills you in one hit. Poor clothie.

*shrug* Troll attempt or not, the rares will respawn. Most threads like this are just trying to get a rise out of people. They've been killed before and will be again in the future. If I didn't play a hunter, I'd probably try to kill them too. Even if not for loot, maybe for the challenge as some of them could be equally difficult to kill as to tame.

Everyone who kills rares without trying to rehome should be banned, but you kill rares for an entirely unrelated reason and that's okay.

That's almost more trolly than the OP.

It's like daring someone to go insult a bunch of kindly old nuns. You'll wind up going back to your friends with a story about how they smiled at your insults and tried to give you cookies, or something.

I really don't think it's worth trolling Petopia, lol. I'd ban the OP, just to prevent it happening in the future--definitely not a nice post.
