I know it's just a game and all, but it's things like this that make me lose more and more hope for humanity. That it happens in a game is beside the point, there's a person behind that character and it's the person being a jerkwad. I just have a hard time comprehending how people can be so incredibly selfish, rude, and outright cruel to other people they don't even know for no reason whatsoever. How anyone can find joy in making an innocent person's life miserable is beyond me. Ugh.

I don't think I've ever had a tame stolen from me, that I can remember. The first time I saw Krush I tried to solo-tame him a couple times, and got stomped. While I was waiting for a priest to arrive, a group of three other allies swooped in and killed Krush. I was sad, of course, but in all fairness, I was waiting on a hill for someone to arrive and help me out. Thus, I don't consider it a steal. Beyond that, I really can't think of any. I count myself lucky.

Woah... I was doing AH and somebody was just announcing in /2 "A is a <insert swear word here> she just killed my Sambas midtame and logged off, <insert swear word here>!!!" Then somebody else started ranting about A doing something. O.O looks like A doesn't have a good reputation on my server.

A buddy was waiting on Skarr, Skarr spawns I whisper her "go for it!" cause' we both had been waiting a few days, seeing only Karkin...we see a rogue from alliance side, playing hop rocks, & hops on over kills Skarr before we can do anything, she's baffled, I'm baffled, & the rogue falls to his death... didn't really make either of us feel any better.

Deth'tilac spawns two alliance are trying for him, I run over to help, so does someone else of my faction, I toss traps, send in pet, & stop at about 20%, the two alliance are behind the stone rock north of the Spire; I see Deth'tilac go blue & obviously assume the alliance get him...yay them.

Or so I thought... get a whisper from the horde that was also shooting at Deth'tilac, "Holy sh*t I got him!"

I see both alliance run back my way to Deth'tilacs' spawn point - no Deth'tilac - they stop at me, I shrug.

I want to see what this horde is talking about so we group & I meet up with him in the middle, near the portal entrance; & he calls out... Deth'Tilac.

I say "Man... that's not the way to go about getting your rares by taking them from folks who put in the effort."

Reply: "but they're alliance, I helped get it to 20%... so, they're alliance."

I say "eh... that's not the point man."

Both alliance rude me, rude him, thinking I was in on it.

I log over to alliance side & apologized, having not known his intentions, their reply was "thanks for wasting 20min of my time...eh, that guy was an ***hole, he'll die during pvp for sure."

I had a friend that knows someone that griefs... THEIR logic is that people make such a big deal over a game, they make it such an "important" part of their life that they get so upset when they lose some pixels, so in THEIR eyes, they're just showing people what "losers" they are by making them upset (not my thoughts, but you asked, heh), and showing them "it's just a game". That's why when ever I get griefed, I try and shrug it off. If it's Really bad, I'll complain once in guild chat, and then go afk or switch characters for a while until they get bored and go away. No reaction = no point/fun for them.

I don't think I've ever been pet griefed... but then.. I don't camp excessively.. and I'm waiting for the molten front to die down before I try any serious searches for the 2 pets I want... Better than getting riefed and the heavy competition!

well i was helping a guilde tame deth and this dwarf hunter just came up and sum how stole aggro from my guilde and stole deth right infront of him and then had the nerve to make fun of him about it

Just had a Skitterflame stolen from a friend. Me and him were discussing how the best to do it and I saw a worgen run in and start taming right away. He obviously didn't have a clue how to deal with this rare. He got killed in very short order several times.
After letting him try few times more, we pulled Skitter and started kiting him properly with traps. The worgen brought a druid to ress him and the boomkin tried to take aggro from us several times (He ended up dying a few times as well). The worgen also tried several times to tame Skitterflame while we were kiting him, and got charged and killed.
On the last try, we got Skitter to tame range, and my friend disengaged to tame. Skitter killed him due to him being at low health already, and the worgen stole the tame before Skitter could reset.
Congratulations to you, whoever you were, even though it was a very low and rude behaviour from your and your friend. I'm hoping that you'd at least be grateful for our help, even though I'm quite sure you don't regret it.

This patch seems to have brought out the worst in people in regards to the new rares. I've become friends with another hunter on my server because of tames that were stolen from her. Right now the only personal positive for me is that other than the cats I'm not too interested in the spiders or the bird.

The first night everyone who had not glitched the quests, were able to enter Molten Front, I actually HELPED a few Alliance (and Horde) to tame their rares, and made several friends from both factions. Ever since then though, I've only heard of people getting their rares stolen and other kind of low-arsery going on, which makes me rather sad. Some players seem to forget that we're playing with REAL people here, and you wouldn't be able to get away with that kind of behaviour in real life.

The problem is, in some quarters people are able to get away with that kind of behavior. More and more often people aren't being held accountable for their actions whether it be in a pixelated fantasy world or in day to day life. I've always made a point of backing off if someone else was there, or discussing with them when they were leaving a spot so that I could take it, if I was going to camp. I always make sure that if I tame a rare, I put it away and avoid using it in the zone where it spawns.

I inadvertently helped someone steal a Deth not long ago in Molten Front, not knowing that the person who had it stolen from them was on it first and had it stolen by the alliance hunter. Because of that I pledged that I would help her tame something if she needed a hand for it. I think some of what has been going on will calm down a little bit as the Molten Front expands on servers, and it is more the fact that so many people are being packed into such a tight space (ie...prepping for AQ Gates opening).

So, I was hoping the jackasses stayed away from my server, but...Im so pissed right now its not even funny, here's what happened:

So, sence 1 PM server time, we were camping for Deth, we being me and my brother. Another hunter joined us, who had helped 6 people before us tame Deth, plus help many others tame the other new rares. Acouple hours later, the hunter said Solix had spawned, and i went to watch while she helped a hunter tame it, my brother not wanting to leave the spawn point. But, after 2 more hours or so, they had to leave, had a party to go to. So, we continue our camp, chating in guild and vent while doing things to keep us of dieing of boredem. Acouple more hours past, and 8 rolls around. 2 more hours, if she hadnt spawned inbetween the 6-8 hour mark. A Blood Elf appeared, and joined us, when...Deth spawned! My heart starts to pound, finaly. My brother will get his dream spider! The Blood Elf reset him once, and she appered to be helping us. We get Deth to 20%, but damn, she had gotten to close to and killed my brother, so, me and the Blood Elf trade off kiting the spider while my brother works on getting back. 2 more hunters appeared during the health-lowering process. Suddenly, one of the hunter ran up and started to melee the spider, right as my spider webbed it, the hunter died...And Deth is down to 7m now! The Draenei hunter (wont name names...) sends in her Core Hound at that point. I start to yell NO NO NO NO NO! I try to type out 'Pull off your pet before the spider dies!' But i am to slow...Deth turns and kills the Core Hound and herself...After that the hunter who died resses and leaves as if nothing happens, and the Draenei resses her pet and leaves...I whisper the Draenei and call them and idiot and ignored them...My brother, who didnt know what happened, spat on the Blood Elf, thinking she did it, but i then explain to him that no, she was helping. Now hes on a horde toon sending the Blood Elf, who logged, a letter and saying sry for being mean. *sigh* Looks like its back to camping in 6 hours. Well, at least my brother, who only got 4 hours of sleep last night thanks to our cat, can get some sleep....

banny got murdered one night, the very first night ever that i had seen his model, and today kirix got tamed by a jerkwad who announced he was up, saw us trying to tame him, and then tamed him while everyone was running back to their bodies guessing that no one wanted him. Afterwards he was met with several of us hunters who were dying left and right for him and guess what? The idiot already owned Kirix, i talked to him before and he has almost all the cata rares, including an earlier tamed kirix.

My bf was camping Skoll. He had to AFK for literally 60 sec; I was in vent with him. He returned and cursed VERY loudly. Apparently, he'd sat down just in time to watch someone else wrap up the tame. No whisper or emote from the other hunter (same faction).

Yeah, he was afk, but c'mon. That was rude.

I believe that having so *many* rares in such a *small* area brings out some truly epic moments of douchebaggery.

I've made two friends in the Molten Front from people I was helping to get their tames. I helped one get Anthriss, and the other get Skitterflame.

All the assholery really makes you just sigh, doesn't it?

Yeah, I suspect Ikutai is right. Not to mention they're giant and brightly colored and have the infamous silver dragon. I've even seen hunters just STEAL tames. I know it's hard and painful and disappointing when someone is a bit faster but c'mon.

Edit: Mr. Parking his pet on Skarr's spawnpoint orc also killed Skitterflame apparently, since he had it and 3 Alliance hunters were trying to tame :/

Ha, yeah, I know YOU get this, so this isn't aimed at you CK... but, basketball is "just a game" too, yet I suspect your friends friend wouldn't join a pickup game and then pee on other players as a way of reminding them not to take things so seriously... he's simply being a d-bag under the shelter of anonymity and using the "just a game" nonsense as a figleaf.

Bad behavior is bad behavior, 12-year-old-logic justifications notwithstanding.
