6.46 PM: Nothing yet. I have the horrible feeling I missed the spawn while I was out. I hope not.

7.10 PM: I just realized I forgot to clear my cache. FFFFFFFFFFF. Vyra could've popped and I'd have no idea!

7.14 PM: OH BLOODY HELL. THERE'S A HORDIE HERE NOW. I know this is the best spot but, hordie, if you're reading this, please go away. I've been here for hours. :1

7.29 PM: Tab back in to find myself dead. Check the combat log and, of course, it was a hordie. I'm happy to say it wasn't the one I saw earlier, though. Still, most annoying thing.

9.49 PM: Still nothing. Vyra probably spawned while my cache wasn't cleared. :1

10.19 PM: Okay, I give up on not watching Supernatural. I'll just have to make sure the volume on it is turned pretty far down. :1

Do you watch it on your PC while you camp? If I do that I usually crank my speakers, but turn down the specific audio in my media player to about 20-40%. The show will play at normal volume since my speakers are turned up to compensate for the decreased one, but if NPCscan goes off it'll completely overpower it since WoW will still be at full. If that makes sense. xD

Yep, I watch it on my computer.(: And that's exactly what I do, too! I've just been worried I wouldn't be able to pause it and tab back in quickly enough and that it would distract me. But it's not like I'm taming, a distraction isn't that big of a deal.

10.59 PM: Supernatural wouldn't work right with WoW sucking up my internet, so I defaulted back to here and tumblr.

11.53 PM: There's a horde paladin on my camp spot. I don't know if they're tabbed out or what, but they're ignoring all attempts from me to get them to move. I wish I could talk to them. But seriously, that is so rude! And aggravating! If TLPD spawns and that pally gets him I'll be pissed.

12.28 PM: Still no sightings of anything. And that stupid pally is still here. Shoo!

1.13 AM: Still nothing. Really tempted to go to bed. My head hurts.
AND AS I WAS TYPING THIS SOME JERK 85 GOBBO DECIDED KILLING A LEVEL 79 WOULD BE FUNNY.

1.25 AM: I've moved from the couch (my usual camp area) to my bed. Gonna try to keep this up for a while longer, but my bed is more comfortable and I'm less likely to hate this camp if I'm in it. Oh wait, I hate this camp already. Too late. The one downside to camping in my bed is that I can't really bring my current crocheting project with me. I have two skeins of yarn attached to this scarf at all times (yay, stripes) and it annoys me enough when they're on the couch. Them being in my bed is a definite no.

Too bad, I've gotten to nine stripes (each stripe is ten rows long). Feeling pretty accomplished, considering I just started it yesterday! Well, two days ago, now. Whatever.

Please come out, TLPD. I need some sleep.

2.07 AM: I am so tempted to give up for the night. I have to clean tomorrow and get up early! But... what if he spawns? ARGH.

2.15 AM: Okay, I'm just too tired for this right now. I put in quite a lot of hours today. I'll try again tomorrow!(:

That area IS PHASED but he phases back in on the other side near the Bear Pit / Blue Lady Village. :/

If that ever happens, just go to the other side of the phasing and wait for him to wobble out.

Naw, it was right around Ulduar, and I flew around his paths for at least 30 minutes before I finally gave up--when I petitioned a GM they said there was nothing they could do about it.

Going to give my two cents... Camping it hardcore like this will do only a few things:

1) Stress you.
2) Stress you sick.
3) Make it a bitter reward at the end of it.

I speak from my personal experience and methods that worked for friends. My first one, after all the just...days camped, time wasted.. It was a hollow and bitter achievement. I seriously got OCD about the pixels for my first. It was not good. :/

Don't get me wrong, I was happy. But I was MORE happy I was done with it and didn't have to look/touch/be near Storm Peaks again. I love the mount, but the entire thing just made me bitter. (I had went through 6 or 7 TLPDs before I got my first.. This is including 1 being stolen from me from someone I helped earlier that day get Skoll. I hope you don't have the same frustrations I dealt with, but do know they are out there... And judging by your post stating you've run across a pvp griefer, sounds like you may have already had a taste of these spoil sports.

Honestly. Don't camp unless this is your only way you can do it. I personally always go by the methods of doing loops when bored/before bed/before work. That's how I found ALL THREE Aeonaxxes without camping.

I'm up to 17 found TLPDs (3 of which are mine, and 14 were being tagged/dead/aggroed).

I've include a map below of the spawn locations and directional pathing of flight.




Also, here is my 'random drop by method' schedule for the last week before I got my third and final.. It may give you an idea for a pattern. Again, worked for me, may not work for everyone:

Tuesday - Vyragosa - 5:36 PM

Wednesday - Vyragosa - 5:32 PM

Thursday a friend found a corpse of the Time-Lost Proto Drake at 12-ish (midnight). I based my new timer on this. I wasn't looking on these past few days due to raid.

Friday - Vyragosa - 12:29 AM

Saturday - Vyragosa - 1:11 PM

Sunday - Vyragosa - 12:26 AM

Sunday - Time-Lost Proto Drake - 1:35 PM



So in summary:
Map of patrol and spawn locations
Suggestion of drop by methods and/or camping while you're doing work
Go with the flow/relax.

Work smarter not harder, imo

Thanks for the help, but I am simply incapable of camping in that manner. For me, it's hardcore camp or nothing. I know it works for some people, but for me it just... doesn't.

As much as I rant, rave, and mutter about crocheting, this is actually a lot of fun for me. Oh, it's not always buckets of sunshine. But in the end it's always worth it.

Good luck with Time lost. I think I'd rather just farm for a blue proto in stead of camp because of horde and pvp >_<

(I also have been farming Ravenlord and white hawkstrider for a bit. So I'll end up making lore behind them >.<)
