I love the archeology posts! I'm now more interested in your archeology journeys than your Poseidus camp!



I'm going to level Archeology now on my 70 twink after reading this. You gave me motivation!

So.... Ashes of Al'ar dropped last night... right after I said "If Al'ar doesn't drop with Abaesik here, there's something wrong in the world."

Well... he dropped but I lost. -_- To a person who wins EVERYTHING awesome that drops.

So, here I am camping Poseidus again. Sigh. I wish I had the funds to just buy him from the AH. -_-

It... kinda killed me inside when I read that the Ashes dropped but you didn't win it.

Ashes is my dream mount. I would give anything. ANYTHING. To have that mount. It's so amazing. I want it so bad... And I know hunters can solo that place but... I can't. :/ Dunno why.

I've been meaning to try and solo it... but I just keep putting it off x.x and the group I run with (it's an old world raiding group called OWL, which stands for Old World Late-night) does it on Thursday so I have plenty of time to try... I just put it off. ^^;

Also, I just realized Ban'thalos snuck himself in the ironbound screenshot. Oh Banny, you attention hog! <3

Well I haven't tried to do it now in a good long time, I might be able to now with my better gear. I hope so, though I wouldn't mind being able to two-man it as well with my boyfriend.

I'm really tempted to just sit there and see if they go away to another spot. <.< I'm sorry but I hate choosing a different spot once I start camping, because what if it spawns in that spot while I'm not there? Who the hell knows when it would spawn there again. -_- Ugh, I wish they would just leave.
*grumbles things about hating gnomes*

If they didn't know you were camping there every Thursday, it's not their fault. You could ask them to move, but I doubt that would work. In fact it's more likely to make things worse and they'll sit there more often just to spite you. I know how it feels though, I hate getting back to my Storm Peaks camping spot to find someone with their arse parked there. >.<

Yeah I understand that they wouldn't know, but it's sooooooooo frustrating and makes me really nervous.
I wont even try asking. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't give a damn. -_-
I reaaallllly wish they would just move. X_x Or stop camping <.< I need to work on school work but I'm too nervous to do so. >.<

I know what you mean. :/ When I'm forced to camp in another spot, I don't like it at all, I always get the feeling something will spawn on the previous spot instead. Even if it's just Vyragosa, at least if I was in my usual spot I would know about it! However if it's another Horde camper, I'll make a joke about them to how they 'stole' my spot. If they get the message and move, great, if they don't, I try and at least get along with them so that they'll inform me about any spawns. It's the least I can try and do. But I suppose the best you could do is hope he gets bored soon and leaves.

I'm really surprised she hasn't left. Or the Goblin mage in another spot. I hardly ever see people who aren't hunters camp on my server. I mostly just see people swimming by to check every once in a while. X_x
If I had the money, I'd consider server x-fering one of my alts to a more low pop server, camp for it there, then move back. <.<

Isn't Poseidus a guaranteed spawn every 72 hours or so though? I don't know much about him since I'm not interested in getting the mount, but that's what I've heard. If that's the case, at least you know he'll spawn every few days for sure, unlike TLPD/Aeonaxx, who's spawns are so damn random you might not see them for weeks.

His spawn timer is 72-120 hours >_< with 5 spawn points that are very far apart (which is why I log to my alts at the other spawn locations every 30 min).
He's guaranteed to spawn... but even then finding him isn't easy. =/

If I ever bumped into Poseidus and killed him, I wouldn't be sure at all what to do with the reins... I don't like the mount much and there's not many reasons for me to use it, so I'd most likely try to sell it first... Some guy on YouTube said he farmed them two or three times, one he learned, and the other two sold and he bought a Spectral Tiger with the money. I'd love to do that, but it's not everyday that someone is selling a Spectral Tiger on the AH!

I'm def learning any reigns of Poseidus I can get my hands on <.< If I happened to find another, I'd sell it unless I had a good friend who wanted it as much as I currently do. X_X
