I feel that way about this new Karoma I tamed. I already had Karoma tamed. I was doing dailies in TwiHi when he popped up on my scanner. I sat there for 2 hours hovering above him, watching him just pat around, looking lonely. I had asked every hunter I could think of and they all had him or didn't want to spec BM just to tame "some wolf". So I dropped a pet I dislike and rarely use and had only tamed because it was rare and tamed a 2nd Karoma. I like wolves alot, so I didn't really feel it was a waste of a stable slot. I used this new Karoma to do my dailies with and after about 2 hours I had felt like I'd bonded with this new little wolf better than I had my old Karoma. I'm keeping him in my pet call list and really like just looking at him and his cute animations. Sara and Dean make a cute couple! I named him Dean after a character from a TV show I love, and I think it really fits the adorable little wolf.

Your Purci is very cute, and people are right, it is unique. You never see ANY hunter above level 20 with a lynx for a pet. You and Purci look really good together!

Awww, you guys are too cute together!

Arit and Mina, the red/orange/yellow Lynx, have been together (pretty much) since level 10, and when you could only have 5 pets in the stables and on call. I did abandon her for a while to try out other cats (the Ghost Saber, Tigers, Panthers, etc.), but the Springpaws just called to me in a way that other cats in this game don't. I love the colouring, and the tuff of a mane, and the eyes...I enjoy the whole package, and a Lynx for her just seems right. So, I retamed one, and haven't let go of her since. It's funny how you can bond with pixels as if they're real pets, I find it quite intriguing.

I've also debated changing her name, but Mina just...fits her personality. Congrats on finding a bond with, in my eyes, a very rare pet indeed. Not rare in spawns, but rare in showing themselves in the Hunter community. And I wouldn't change that fact for the world!

I love to just sit down and relax next to a warm fire with this guy. He's so cuddly and wonderful! He is one very special kitty. :D

@Aritria: Mina is very lovely, by the way. She is the one in your signature, correct?

@dragonaa: I'm not sure if that's true or not. I have heard of people getting their ghost hydras and croco-slimes back even though they aren't tamable anymore. It never hurts to at least try, though, right? ;)

The eagles really seem to suit tauren, somehow. I think I would like to tame the white eagle when I'm high enough. I'm trying to not plan tames in advance, but there's just something about that eagle that I really like. :D

I really like its name, too. Does it mean something, or did you make it up? Either way, it's a beautiful name! Congrats on your lovely new friend! ^.^

I wanted to also express how lucky it is to find a good friend like Purcival. When i met Dragon my raptor i was really into wolfs and i had never liked the outland raptor model but when i saw the troll rideing him Dragon seemed to say save me. so i tamed him and helped him kill his master weve been best friends ever sence.

Yeah, she's the pretty kitty in my Sig(s). My favourite big cat has always been a Snow Leopard, and I've got Loque for that obsession, but there's just something about the ingame Lynxes that I enjoy so much.

We welcomed Boris, a Scorpashi Snapper, into our home today. I wasn't sure if I'd keep him or not. I have been wanting a PvP pet because rogues give me a hard time, and wasn't sure what I wanted. I've tried scorpids before (the brown ones with teal spots, mostly) and usually abandon them almost immediately. Yellow was one of the absolute last colors I'd ever think to tame. I didn't want a bug pet, anyway. I'm trying to stick with more "elf-like" pets. I figured maybe I'd hang onto him til I got a crocolisk or something. I also tamed a monkey today and named him Pierre. But as you can see, I'm posting about Boris so it must mean something. I took a few pics of us, too. :P We were goofing off as demons earlier today. :)

Anyway, I'm tired and I fear this isn't making much sense anymore. Basically, up til this post, I wasn't sure whether I'd keep him long or not. Figured I'd swap him out with a white eagle once I'm high enough. But after hanging out with this strange yellow fellow for a while, I think I'm starting to like him. He seems a bit insane, if you ask me. :)

Meet Boris!!!

Lol! He's precious Rhyela. I have a fondness for those yellow Scorpids. I had one before Cataclysm for a while named Rocky, and I've always wished I had the stable room to keep him. They're very vivid looking. I think he looks great beside you. ^^ That last picture makes me crack up, haha.

Even though I generally cannot stand worgs because of their flappy jowl fur and the way they run, I've always for whatever reason sort of liked Ghost Howl in the wild. IIRC, he used to be a rare (and untameable, at that)? Anyway, every time I fly from Orgrimmar to Thunder Bluff, I always see him on my radar but when I go down to look for him (I just like to see him), I can't find him again.

Well, tonight I was determined to see him, I don't know why. I went to the stable master to give Purcival and Pierre a rest and to get Boris (I was headed to Deadmines to get some wool to level my first aid). With a stable slot open, I headed down to the area behind Thunder Bluff. I ran around and once again, didn't find him. But I didn't want to give up! I kept looking until finally I spotted him. Without hesitation, I pressed tame beast, and Ghost Howl was finally mine! After eons of liking this fellow (quite possibly the one worg I like since I generally dislike them), I finally tamed him. :)

I was going to name him Godfrey, but forgot that "God" is a prefix you can't use. It took me a few minutes of looking online, but I finally found a name I liked: Alastor. It's a Greek name meaning "avenging spirit", fitting since his name used to be Ghost Howl. Also, I like that it closely resembles the name Alistair, which I almost named him, but wanted something meaning ghost/spirit/etc.

Once again, I am pleasantly surprised that I am so fond of a beast model that I normally despise. At level 35, I am now the proud owner of four wonderful companions! (One of these days, I'll have to do a little post for Pierre, too. He feels left out!)

Meet Alastor! (A lizard decided to creep into a couple pictures, so I figured I'd give him his fifteen minutes of fame on Petopia!)

Awww, those white worgs are beautiful! I prefer the Saber Worgs myself, but nothing's like a fluffy wolf to lay your head on at night. And, yes, that lizard is just asking for it! XD

Okay, pet number five was tamed tonight! I logged on in Orgrimmar and piddled about for a bit, checking mail and the AH and such. Then, I called my brother to see if he'd log on and he'd said he'd be about 30 minutes. I figured in the meantime, I'd go to Desolace for some leather. I went to my stable to put my PvP pets away and to get good ol' Purci. :3 However, for some reason, I decided to leave Alastor in the stable and leave a slot open. I don't know why, I didn't have anything I wanted to tame. But, it appears fate had another idea. I took the flight from Orgrimmar to Thunk's Abode in Desolace. Oh, also, before I left I turned off all my tracking because I got tired of seeing a billion dots on my radar. However, on the flight, for some reason, I turned on beast tracking. Again, not sure why. Well, wouldn't you know it, but as I was flying, I looked at this one red dot on my radar and it was Takk the Leaper! This is a raptor I have never seen in the wild...ever. Not even during all my years on Rhyela. For a split second, I thought, "Nah, I don't really want a raptor, they never click with me," but then the next thing I knew, I was /exiting out of WoW to stop my flight at Crossroads (apparently if you get disconnected, your flight is "reset" and it drops you off at the next point instead of your original destination). Once I landed, it was another quick flight to Nozzlepost's (or w/e) and then off to the mountains! I started to feel a little panicky when I didn't see him right away, but eventually I ran into him. A few seconds later, and Takk was mine! I wanted to name him Chance, since this whole tame, from start to finish, was a weird twist of fate and utter chance. But, that was the name of one of my old kitties and it didn't feel right naming a raptor after him. So, after browsing on the internet, I found an alternate name, Chauncey. It still means "good fortune" but isn't exactly like my old kitty's name. It also sounds a little pompous or something, which I like. I wanted something that sounded pompous or vain since he's got all those feathers and beads and such (and pinkish stripes). I usually can't click with raptors, but I think I really like this guy. :D

(Copied from Ivan from the Marsh)

I've had my eye on the white Cataclysm crocolisk for a while now. When I first hit 39, I went out looking for Ripscale, but didn't find him (I did find Hayoc, though). I went a couple days without playing my hunter, and Ripscale kind of went into the back of my mind.

Well, tonight I logged on and no one I know was on, so I figured I'd head to Dustwallow to let my spider go. I just wasn't feeling it for her, and figured I'd put her back where I found her. I let her go, then remembered Ripscale. I went to go find him and not long into my search, I found him! I should have taken a pic of him pre-tame, because he was quite large!

The name Ivan (the Terrible) first popped into my mind, so I began typing it out. However, the name Vladimir suddenly came to mind, and it sounded more BA, so I went with that instead. Well, the entire time he and I were out getting leather, I kept calling him Ivan in my mind. I eventually began to say out loud, "Go get them, Vladimir!" to try to drill his name into my head. It worked for about five minutes.

Back in Orgrimmar, I headed to the leatherworking building, but decided to make a trip to the AH first. I bought a certificate of ownership, and he is now Ivan (the Terrible!). He really, really wanted to be named Ivan because I just could not stop calling him that.

I LOVE this crocolisk. He's not so much white as a very light grayish-lavender. The lavender tones really show in certain lighting, while he looks more gray in other lighting. He's totally gorgeous. Er...handsome. ;)
