Hah. Having a cat for the first time brings a lot of sometimes unecessary worries.

Kira is back around the front door, and just ate. The queen seems to favour Kira's food bowl, while Kira likes the queens, so I guess I'll just let them do it that way. So far everything seems to be fine. I love that little furball.

I suspect the kittens are coming soon.. She squeaks in her box, and when not around, she comes and meows at you until you follow her back to her box. I wish I had more experience, I hate not being able to read her. And Kira? She is becoming a little bully. When the queen is not around, she sneaks into her box, it looks rather comfy after all. She is also walking up to the queen and such, and they smell each other, and then the queen hisses and growls. Kira doesn't run away anymore though, and I find that a positive change.

This morning, she even leapt into the car, when my bf was checking the oil. He had left the door open, so she jumped in. It was hilarious.

I mentioned this morning that I thought she acted weird, and true enough, the kittens arrived.
What completely amused me, was the fact that she was snuggling with Kira, because just a few hours before, she were hissing at her. Motherly love, I guess?

For the weak stomachs, this shouldn't be too bad, as I didn't take any gorey pictures.

I had to help her cut loose two of them, as they were being dragged from behind her via the umbilical cord (I think that's what it's called.)

I took this one this morning, when she was a sneaky little one, sitting in the queens box.


What exactly happened? snuggly snuggliness.




She seemed very curious, but ran off after a while.

aww, isn't magical to see new born kittens? I saw my cat born myself. *explodes of cuteness*

It was truly an experience, and I never thought I'd ever be able to see it. I always thought the queen would hide, but she is used to give birth with people there with her.

I will get better pictures sometime tomorrow, when its lighter outside, and their fur have dried

I will also update as they grows.. If I find them new homes, I will keep going paparazzi until they become around three months.

Number four has arrived. I got a closer look at them, and one is dark gray with black stripes, and white paws. The other two is dark gray and possible stripes, but they have orange spots in their faces aswell. I haven't looked at the last one.

She got a total of five. I'm very curious about the father, because the kittens colours doesn't match xD

I took in Rose, who was abandoned at 7m old and pregnant when her family moved out and left her. She came to get me when her time to give birth came, and wanted me to be with her the whole way through. So much for the hide instinct eh?

Oh my goodness, those kittens! Beautiful tabby markings, and the mix of orange on their faces, along with white… So adorable, it's too much for words. They'll be gorgeous when they grow up.

One of them actually have very special markings, but you can't see it because it lies beneath all the others, only the face showing. That was the one my brother chose for them to have when they grow old enough aswell. I will take more pictures when they get a bit older, preferably with eyes open

6 days old and still counting. They look huuge for being not even a week old, but I guess they grow fast. I tried today and check what gender they might be, and I suspect two of the tabbies are males, as they have something the other three doesn't have. Small mini peas with something more in between. That means the kitten my mom is getting is a female. And that they might very well be calicos, even if I don't know how to determine that. I hope they open their eyes soon, I want to see

The two upper ones in the first pic are girls, while the two lower ones are the boys.
