Oh god, favorite commons skins and reasons why I love them...there's so many!

This cat skin is just stunningly gorgeous and has become an integral pet for Rosaliah, my RP blood elf huntress. She represents a turn around in my huntress' personality and it amazes me how beautiful she looks in every environment.

I have utterly adored this snake skin ever since I saw the mini pet in Wrath and was thrilled when it became a tamable mob in Cata. Another stunningly beautiful pet that I rarely see around. Named her Nagaina after Riki Tiki Tavi.

Another really beautiful serpent skin that tends to look stunning in all environments.

I *love* tallstriders. I think I've made a pet report for almost every color of one in the Pet Challenges and they only continue to grow on me. I love all of their skins, but I decided to post this one because once you get to studying it in game, it looks very pretty compared to the way it looks on Petopia. Tallstriders pack some of the biggest personalities of almost any pet I encounter and I utterly adore them.

While I don't own a fox of this color, Serendipity82 has really brought this skin to life with her pet Swift, in Fury of the Twilight Clan. Gave me a whole new love for the fox family.

Another pet of Rose's, this is another one of those skins that blows me away and makes me stop to take screenshots, especially in zones like Winterspring and Zangarmarsh. Really a beautiful owl skin.

Someone above me mentioned the bone spiders, and yes, they are all awesome and beautiful, but I chose to advertise this skin because of the lovely color contrasts it has. I used to think this spider looked kind of puky, and then I was suddenly deadset on getting Rose one because it matched her hair and eyes perfectly.

I find it really hard *not* to like this skin because of its colors. It's just so fun and playful looking! This guy has fondly been dubbed by Petopians as the Cotton-Candy Ravager and that's really what he looks like, but with all the fierce awesomeness that a ravager beholds as well. But, I know not everyone likes ravagers because they're a bit goofy looking--all the more reason to love them for me.

Another sort of brightly colored ravager. What totally got me hooked on this guy where those demonic, glowing red eyes, especially when you used to be able to see them through camo.

This is easily my favorite moth skin. It's a nice soft gray color with beautiful lavendar eyes. Plus, it's just fun to kill things with a moth because of how totally unferocious they look.

Another pet of Rose's, I decided one a whim to tame one of these skins because they seem to be so underloved and totally fell in love with it. Boars as a whole family have huge personalities and easily one of the most adorable idle animations. As an added bonus, they make fantastic tanking pets for MM hunters with piercing shots.

Also, if you're still wanting a 'unique' pet, though found pretty much all the time, you could go with Duskstalker, found in Teladrassil:

These Owls might have some potential:

These black beauties are found in Duskwood.

Hell Hoot, from Winterspring.

And the Mosterous Kalikaris from Skettis, high about Terokkar Forest. Arit has this one, and it is absolutely stunning.

This one, found in Skettis too, is one that I wish to tame on one of my hunters when levelled appropriately.

If you want my opinion on foxes, I usually go with the Highlands or Snowfrolic Foxes, found in Gilneas (not phased) and Winterspring:

These are some of many that have wiggled into my pixellated heart. I hope these suggestions give you some inspiration on what to tame next!

May not be a non-rare only skin anymore since rak'shiri joined the ranks of aqua saber in 4.1, but shy-rotam

Still my absolute most favorite pet, and I don't go anywhere without her.

This, its almost obligatory for me and I feel like I talk about her too much ^_^

But my other favorites are:

Even though I would never tame one on my main because I hate the dog special.

Same feelings towards foxes as dogs :<

And I adore all the snake skins.

my Chanterelle, tamed her in BC when I reached 70

my Tepui

have this on one of my alts--very eye-catching!

both my current croc and Krikey have this skin

have always loved these turtles

I pretty much only use three pets--Cat, Wolf, Turtle. My favorite common skins of these are:

Perhaps what I like about them is they're all pretty unique looking. Sure they're common but they are less common than the typical wolf, turtle, and cat.

Oh, someone eles who has a love for this amazeing cat. I have made it everyone of my hunters right of passage tame when I hit the lvl to do the tame...after that tame the hunter is not longer my fledgling hunter. I have had my main char as her main compainion since befor BC and will allways love him.

Right, let's get a list going, shall we?

Coleridge, my Worgen's black owl can be seen in her signature, and is definitely one of her most iconic pets. I have a HUGE soft spot for all the owls in-game, but this as well as the red one are my favourites.

One of my absolutely favourite models (and skins!) in-game. Love that blazing orangey-red.

Lazuli's Moolah. Striking, and beautiful. I like almost all parrot skins, but this one really stands out for me.

Such a rich colour scheme. My Belf has one called Liane, who is very dear to her. The only starter pet I've kept. I won't mention the blue or the yellow dragonhawks, since although they're not "rare", they are also not common skins as they require some effort to tame.

Lazuli's Amethyst is a pretty girl, and I was surprised at how lovely this colour-combo is.

Coral, Lazuli's glorious red serpent awoke my love for these slightly goofy models. And...once you pop, you just can't stop. These are my favourite, although I adore them all.

I am not exaggerating when I say that I adore every damn spider model in this game, and fully approve of Veph's hunter Spiders, these three are my tip-top favourites. I admit I almost cried when Hadronox's skin became tameable, as I had drooled my way through Wrath and so I ran to Silverpine on my baby Worgen to tame Rossetti, who will never, ever, ever, ever leave my stables. I was also very glad when this gorgeous purple became tameable. And naturally, Ivy, Lomelinda's loyal tarantula has been with her since the beginning of their journey.

My favourites. <3

Hathor, my first hunter's most beloved pet (now adopted my Moz). I still consider this one of the absolute nicest models in the game. It's rarely seen, and utterly gorgeous.

My favourite non-unique kitties.

I originally fell in love with the blue runed skin in Wrath and was very happy to hear they would be tameable. The others simply didn't interest me, and I still think it's one of the most striking pets in the game. BUT...I saw one of these happy green fellows running around the Plaguelands, and fell in love.

All the foxes are amazing, but this one is a particular favourite. Still, black and red are almost as delightful, whereas brown is soft and kind in appearance.

I'ma bit iffy about calling this a "common skin", mainly as you can't get a lowbie version of this at all, and the lowest level is a rare. BUT, no list would be complete without my beloved Mort. <3 Most hyena skins are lovely though.

Sort of the same thing as the hyena, but it's still a "common" skin. Delightful and very pretty. And I don't even like pink.

Originally Ceredigion's Nekhebet, now Alburga's Wordsworth. Either way, LOVE this wolf.

There's something ferocious and yet vulnerable about my Tennyson. I love this skin. Also a big fan of the normal white and normal black bears.

I'm a big beetle fan, and this is my favourite of the most common skins.

Go on, admit it. My Macaroon is one gorgeous piggie!

The runes are very charming, and although I really wanted a stable blue version of this, I have to admit that I prefer the colour changer now. The new crab models are gorgeous anyway.

This one has so much personality. My go-to tanking pet during Wrath.

Very appealing colour combination.

My favourite shale spider.

I don't own this beauty on any hunter as yet, but I can't wait until the one she's meant for is at the correct level. Absolutely lovely!

Rak'shiri was always an aqua saber till Cata, and then they changed him back.

Seriously though, I like the red lava spider skin. It is so underloved.

Might be my server. I see Anthriss and Kirix a lot, and Deth occasionally. Never Solix or Skitterflame. Both in the wild and tamed pets.

Has ALWAYS been my favorite sporebat skin. The colors are just so vibrant and brilliant and so complimentary to each other. I recently tamed her on my Arctic Themed Night Elf Hunter, Kyriena - she was originally going to tame white/light colored beasts, but I was able to justify this beauty because of her resemblance to the Aurora Borealis

I love purple. This cat is very feminine, but so fierce at the same time.

Saber kitties are my favorite model, and the spots are gorgeous on this one! I know it's technically a "rare" but low level rares respawn so quickly, you could call it common...

Foxes are my favorite animals! They are just so damn cute. When I made Lovelle, I chose her features specifically to compliment this fox skin!

This is the only boar skin that I like - which is a shame, because their animations are darling!

Such a vibrant red! Even though the model is a bit outdated, imo...

Also and old model, but the color is a real winner for me.

Not many people like the NR Worg, but this one is one of my favorite models. The rich auburn fur is such a great compliment to Lovelle fur as well.
