*hijacks old thread* This is hardly something big enough to deserve its own thread, so here it goes...
It seems that the database is missing some common NPCs. :) There's the
Dredge Striker in Silithus that uses the black worm skin. The database only lists the Dredge Crushers which can be found a bit more South, but these ones seem to be missing altogether.

When does it start to be an NPC (which shouldn't be in the database of petopia) and where does it end to be a non-tamable animal?
You would have to add that polar bear from dark shore or Misha, the pet of Rexxar, too!
But, if Mania REALLY starts renovating the Petopia site, then might be the time to look over the database again.

Okay, I might've worded it a bit wrong there - they're in fact tameable, I tamed one, realized they weren't on the database and tamed another one just to be sure. Curse me for wanting to call even mobs NPCs. XD

NPC is the technical term for any non-player. Mob comes from mobile, which doesn't make a lot of sense today. This is why I tend to go with creatures, monsters, or enemies. *shrug*
Anyway, I do tend to include anything that shares a skin or model with a tamable beast, mostly because otherwise I get lots of e-mail asking me if Misha is tameable, or telling me that they found a new pet! And it has a new look! And its name is Froggle!
(Misha is in the Petopia database. Froggle is not yet because I haven't yet moved Petopia from Perforce to SVN and I'm basically hand-editing it at the moment. *cough*)
It does bloat the database, but right this instant the live site is more bandwidth-bound than database-bound, so I'm not worried about it.
