I don't get this is it like what? One of those "have a pet and feed it on the internet things? Like neopets

How do i make a gryff? and can i re-customize the gryff if i dont like how it looks? When i started customizing it didnt change the color of the gryff which was pitch black, i couldnt tell what it would look like and i stopped incase i screwed up

When you start out on gryffs, you get to adopt one griffin. And people will also give new players griffins, as well. You use gryffs to battle and to hunt. When you battle a griffin, it gains experience and then eventually levels up and the higher a griffin is, the more money it earns per victory.

Hunting with griffins adds various foods to your inventory which you use to feed your griffins. Griffins need food in order to have the energy to hunt, though, but don't need it to fight (though keeping a battler fully fed greatly increases its chances to win) so you'll probably need to buy some food at first.

It can be slow going if you don't open up to other people on the site, but it's not impossible. Introducing yourself in chat will usually end up getting you showered in gifted gryffs and money.

The biggest aspects of the site are battling, customizing griffins, and breeding if you're into genetics and things like that. Ever play Monster Rancher? It's kinda like that, only there's no 3D graphics.

ok, i noticed that theres tokens.. how do i get those? (Apperently i need tokens to customize.. or at least i think i do.. it says above the black gryphon on the customize page 'Customs - 0 Tokens')

You get tokens for donating to the site, 1 token for every dollar donated.

TT^TT i already donate enough to Magistream... tho im sure i could spare $3 to make my snow-leapord-esque gryphon... not today tho... ive been so distracted today i cant concentrate on a single thing

Well, I'm sure there are a few griffins floating around that look kinda like what you want. I don't doubt you can find someone to breed one for you. I think I have one, in fact.

I also found that im allowed to adopt my first ever gryff from the adoption center and i have my eye on one of the commons but i dunno yet if i reeeally want it, and the blasted token donation isnt working, the page stays blank when i press the button '3 tokens' for the custom Siberian Crystal Token

You buy tokens through paypal. You go under Site>Buy Tokens> Then click on the banner that has a gryff on it. It'll have "Buy Tokens" on it.

Ahhhk.. i bought them, bought the crystal, found out i had to buy EXTRA tokens, one for every thing i add to the gryff... so i bought 4 more tokens, i really, really, wanted the fading shadow effect that she has now, and im never doing that again.

I believe the reason they make the site more Donate-y is mainly because they do not want it to get insanely too wide spread...which is kinda why Ive lost alot of Interest in Wajas. Heh. Its almost "too" easy to make money on there. And the community is entirely different. The community at Gryffs I have found to be ALOT more helpful and nice.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned that it probably wouldn't have been difficult to find someone to just breed you a snow leopard...

In fact, someone probably would've done it for free because you're new.

I didnt want to sound like super-newb on the live chat tho, i dont particularly jump into a forum unless/until i know really well the theme its based off of, i never came here to the petopia forums till last year and ive been using the pet homepage for a year before that and ive been playing WoW/hunters in general since WoW came out, used limited areas of magistream until i learned the site and its rules better and then i started to go into selling/buying and then occasionally into the community discussion xD

Hmm this looks like fun. I have a dragon cave acc (love it!) and gave magi stream a try but wasnt as impressed with them. I just love the artwork here and would love to give this a try. Do you think i could be sent an invite please? =)

The best way to learn is for other people to teach you. And they don't care if you're "noobish" or not. They're all quite nice.

I have just one question... Are Meadows supposed to be this hard to keep fed? Hunting seems to be the only way to get food for them and both fruits only give one hunger point each, whereas most other foods give 2-4 times more.
