I'll test this out later tonight. I'm about to pick up pet level 56 for my Petopian, but when I'm done that...

I've been playing on a new site and there was a person with an obscene picture in his signature. I blocked the picture with adblock, and apparently it decided to block all the images from that host-including the images that you were posting.

*feels silly now*

It seems that all the cats despawn after Tyrande is defeated. Keep that in mind!

This patch is going to be bigger than 4.2, since 4.2 was split between 4.2 and 4.1.

Alright. When I attempted t oreset the instance(s), it did not reset it. Not only was the instance not rotated, but the Tyrande battle, which had been activated when I first came in (got a *leetle* too close) is still active. At least at the moment, there is no way to deactivate it. Once you're in, you're in.

That said, it's possible this is a bug and will be fixed. It seems a little harsh to not have the chance to pull back and res the group. You have to have everyone die and heal up in the 'starting room'.

EDIT: After trying a few times, it definitely doesn't seem to reset the shrine that you appear in with fair amounts of time. I did have Obsidian earlier, though; maybe it changes every 24 hours? Or maybe the reset just plain isn't working? I'll have to wait a few hours and check again, I guess.

On the plus side, I was able to get a solo-tame of one of these gorgeous kitties even with the whole room aggroed on me. With hihg health, I chucked a freeze trap, selected my cat, deterrenced, and hit 'tame'. The bad news is that I had to die to get back out and res my cat.

After reading the solo stuff, I went up for the challenge. 3 azure shrines, 1 obsidian and the last one was emerald. Just reset the instance till you get it oh and wow, you pull one you get a bunch! Seemed too, at least in all the times I tried the spotted one was not as common as the striped.

But yea, the aggro is buggy a lil bit, but I was able to do it with no troubles.

Yep, solo tame is easy. I got lucky and got Emerald on my first attempt. There were more tigers up than leopards on this go, but the reverse was true when we'd gone as a group before. Yay RNG! My tame was more than halfway done by the time any of the other cats got to me.

Aha! I found the problem. Once you start the thing, you can't reset. It saves you to the instance. That's why it wouldn't reset for me.

I just have to say... I REALLY hope they keep the buff that gives the the sound effect on live. Its almost soothing in a way. ^^ I really love listening to it while I'm doing other things.

If anyone running this instance, who has NPCscan or something similar, could please check the NPC ID of the striped cat.

The reason I ask is that ptr.wowhead lists three different IDs for the Time-Twisted Nightsaber:

54700 is the spotted one, so that's easy.

54688 and 54699 are both listed as the striped version.

Perhaps only one is used, but it could also be that both IDs are present (to allow some unknown mechanic), or that one of the two actually turns out to be a colour-changer (unlikely or someone would probably have noticed by now), or that one of the two is used elsewhere in the same instance.

I'll need these to update the new pets for 4.3 page.

Ugh, I *was* saved to Emerald, but didn't get it on the way back, which meant I had to try five different characters before getting Emerald again. On the plus side, I found some other stuff, which I'll post in a different thread.

Anyway, after much swapping, I got Emerald again. I came armed with the NPC ID # finding macro that was posted in a previous thread, so it was simple.

I can confirm that I saw tigers with both ids, 54688 and 54699. There weren't many with 54699, and they tended to be further away from the door. The 54700s in the pic are leopards that I checked just in case.

Awesome! Thanks I presume both striped ones are exactly the same. If someone happens to find they're colour-changers or have some other weirdness, please let me know
