I just....how....that's not......why in the hell.....

Not super fond of it. It's far too Blood Elf, she looks like a BE painted purple.
Great bow though.

I'm not even particularly fond of Tyrande myself, but even I'm upset over this model. It doesn't suit her at all. I understand that Blizzard wants to give faction leaders a unique appearance that stands out from the crowd, but throwing her in an overly-elaborate dress and high heels and jewellery isn't the only way they could have gone about this. It doesn't feel right and she loses her characterization completely in my eyes.

Nah, it's not the end of the world, and I had a good chuckle over Wain's explanation, but I still feel a bit unsettled that they would alter Tyrande's appearance to go against the traits she used to represent.

Eh I don't find it THAT bad in fact I find it rather pretty. You know peoples personalitys change more so if they have been around for years XD Can't stay the same forever.

Actually...if I were going to design a dress that could be fought in..I'd probably come up with something pretty close to what Tyrande's wearing. It's knee-length, so it won't get caught in the underbrush, and the sleeves probably detach easily so they can't be used to pinion her.

Mind, I'd use Greek-style sandals with it...the sort that lace up the lower legs...but it looks pretty decent to me.

Thing is...night elven culture has them with sharp fingernails cause they're like amazons....and no shoes. They live in the wilderness.

at the very most, if shes gonna dress to look a bit more for the environment they live in, id like to see her in a mix of priestess clothing and the clothing Priestess' of the Moon wear when they are going into battle mode (they train in the arts of battle and wear different armor to allow themselves to ride properly on sabers to range their enemies with bows or to engage in hand to hand combat). We are in a war after all i dont think high heels and a seductive to-the-knee dress is gonna be enough. Im sure Blizz is gonna wanna continue the Horde's advances on night elf land as they come out with more lore and i can forsee the bombing of Teldrassil by masses of Gunships.

I love that she has claws (and they are claws, not just long nails). Night elves have a lot of feral characteristics, up to and including fangs (which don't show on girlmodels but man do they on the menfolk), and they've always looked to have claws on their toes, at least (and usually on their hands in the fancy art).

Frankly, I like the idea that if someone gets inside her bow range she can just rip their face off if she has to. Rawr.

(course, I draw all my n'elfs with claws anyway, so there's a certain amount of bias, I suppose. MORE RAWR FOR NELFS.)

I'd be cool with it if they'd just change that god awful hair. It's a Snookie bump and on top of that it's the wrong color; Tyrande's hair is blue with silver streaks not blue and green.

Those aren't high heels, they're just riding-boot heels. Of course, I would wish for a bit more toe protection wearing them for such a purpose, but perhaps they have it magically.

I'm completely fine with the change, personally.

As to the nails, do night elves have claws? She looks like she does.

I hope that dress model makes it into the game for us to get.

Yes night elves have always had claws.

Cool; makes me think of Jame (from P.C. Hodgell's Kencyrath books).

I wish they'd update the player night elf models to this standard.

But boobies have never gotten in the way in the practice of archery as far as I am concerned.

I'll tell you, I wish they'd upgrade male nelfs to the basic frame they used for old-Illidan. Because dayum... it would be nice to have a bit less waist and a bit more butt, I'm telling you. Course, I'd like to be rid of the 'AUGH I HAVE A WEDGIE AND I CAN'T PULL IT OUT' waddle of the male nelf walk too... murrgh.
