Wow, I really love your vids! Great job rehoming all those pets

@Airwyn - Thank you! Helping other Hunters ispart of the reason why I love being behind the Rare Pet Diary project. I LOVE seeing fellow Hunters get pets that they've been wanting for so long! Their excitement is partly what motivates me to keep doing this everyday!



Rare Pet Diary episodes 8 and 11 have been fixed. I used songs that I used in previous videos, so they shouldn't be be blocked or muted again. In addition, I will likely stick to this trend for future videos, using music that I've used before. That way, I don't have this problem again. I apologize in advance if you don't like hearing the same songs in different videos.

Good idea about the channel too. I made one on hordeside which from what I saw was used by at least a several people still which was under /rarehunters

I noticed in your ninth video after you tamed Kirix you said you don't really like him because he shares the same skin as the small green spiders. But those spiders can't be tamed. I think it was bugged for a while so they could be tamed, but I tried it myself a while ago and they're not tameable. Imo Kirix has the best spider skin, even over Deth'tilac.

Actually, the green spiders that run around in the large swarms *can* be tamed. There are two different varieties of this mob. One of which spawns frmo a dead body, and one which runs around in large swarms. The 'large swarms' group is tameable while the other isn't.

Actually, there are TWO kinds of those tiny green laval spiders, both going by the same name. One is tamable, the other isn't. The Petopia and WoWhead databases can confirm this. *so late*


Diary #12 is up!

Diary #12 - Nov 7, 2011

In this episode of Rare Pet Diary:
1. A Hunter finally gets her most wanted pet: Gondria.
2. Magria gets quickly pounced on by a passer-by.
3. Solix increases the price of repair bills once again... a price paid by Zafonia (the Hunter trying to get him) all in vain...
4. In the darkest times after the Solix disaster, the light of Elune delivers two spirit beasts to Zafonia simentaniously: Skoll and Ban'thalos.


I will get around to #13 tomorrow. It's halfway completed, so hopefully, I can fully catch up tomorrow! On a side note, today's rare pet hunting wasn't so great, as I only saw two rares as oppose to the usual 3-4 average I usually have. Oh well.

Wow... That's news to me! Last I heard about it, those mobs used to be tameable but it was a glitch or something which they had fixed. So this means only two out of five of those rare spawn spiders actually have unique skins? Seems kinda lame... But that doesn't make Kirix any less special to me.

Diary #13 - Nov 8, 2011

This will be the last one I do for about a week or two. I need to level my dual-boxing Shamans before my Recruit-a-Friend bonuses go away on the 23rd of this month. I will also see about getting a good quality mic to add some narration for future episodes. I'm getting a little tired messing with music so much every episode, so it'll be something new to try.

Just because I've been leveling my Shamans doesn't mean that I haven't been searching/helping others. In addition, I've finally fixed the issue I was having with my mic, so I've started doing narration. PLEASE PROVIDE FEEDBACK! I'm new to narrating stuff. I want to make watching these videos as enjoyable as possible!

Please also note that upcoming RPD episodes will probably be short since I'm not dedicating so much to finding pets currently (since I'm leveling my Shamans). Today's update is a bit of an exception being that it was a bad day for finding rares. Where-as I typically find 3-4 rares a day, I only found 2 in this episode.

Diary #14 - Nov 9, 2011
- Also added an intro and a new logo to represent RPD which I will use in all future episodes!

In this very short episode of Rare Pet Diary:
1. I recieve the honor in helping a Horde Hunter tame Deth'tilac.
2. A random Sambas appearence completes my Sambas collection on my dual-boxing Hunters.

Loved it! You did a good job with the narration too! Can't wait for the next vid

If you're Alliance and that guy trying to tame Deth'tilac is Horde, he can't read your emotes. He will see them as '<your name here> makes some strange gestures' instead of whatever you wrote.

Just so you know for the future.

In this episode of Rare Pet Diary:
1. Ban'thalos becomes the new vessel for an unlucky little bird I saw in real life.
2. Karkin gives Zafonia (a Hunter) a hard time and calls for my help.
3. Skitterflame becomes a nice convinience after the Karkin tame.
