Oh that's so unfair! You're right, it should have been tested by Blizzard, something so difficult to obtain should be assured that there isn't any bugs before going live. I suppose it's a bit similar to Aeonaxx in the beginning, I read his hitbox was a bit crazy. I guess these things happen, the game is bound to have bugs, but I really feel sorry for the farmer with 70+ camels, and yourself to have this happen =(.

Yeah I am still bummed about it, all I can do is keep trying and hope that luck is on my side.

That's really terrible! I would have been really irate. One thing you're definitely right about though is taking anything to the forums. Stay away from WOW forums! The only response you'll get on those will be people who think they have authority trying to talk a big game. I was pretty upset with my experience there. Such a shame. But I should have known better considering, most gamer forums are a no no LOL! At least I feel safer here!

I've not done a whole lot of camping for the camels, however, last weekend I did get Poseidus! Was doing the quests in Vash'jir just to stick around the area over the weekend, and right after turning in a quest, bam! Screen lit up and it was him! He was in the Abyssal Depths area. Man, I was over-joyed. Certainly made up for those silly Vash'jir quests LOL!!!

Right now I'm camping Storm Peaks for a while, giving it a good fair try. Especially considering the little annoying discovery I had today... I realized that my Search in NPCSCAN did not have Time-Lost listed! All this time I've been doing patrols, it would not have even picked him up had he flown over-top of me! \ That's okay, I just laughed. Makes sense why I've not seen him, but I've been so good at catching the others! Currently I'm using my husbands character to camp another spawn location--but it's a bit too complex for me. It's easier just to pay attention to my own character, yanno? Just wanted to give it the good ole try. I'll get him, just a matter of sticking around in the area, doing patrols. Especially late night patrols.

I guess the tlpd's spawns are muuuuuuch more frequent than they used to be!

I'm going to get back into searching for the camels. Definitely feel like I have a better chance now with all of your info! You guys rock!

Eeee! Grats on Poseidus! =D I've thought of buying him off the AH so many times, but I can't bring myself to since there's the option of camping him and getting him for free..Or blowing all your gold and ending up close to broke =P.

Tonight after seeing Vyra spawn I logged off for a bit to take a break. It reaches about 1:20am and I'm just watching TV when suddenly....That urge to go to Uldum sprouts! And so off I go...I get bored as I'm doing the lap of Uldum so I think hey I'll just chuck Fraps on and proceeded to record the scenery. Hmm ..beautiful night sky! Clouds..and ongoing sand! ( Uldum is so pretty =P) ...*silence is interrupted by *BROOOOOOWWWWMMMMM* NPCscan found : Mysterious Camel Figurine! I had trouble finding this one, even with friendly name plates on, so i checked the npc ID on /npcscan and it was a dud, so my panic of being unable to find it calmed =P. I logged out to reset the cache, logged back in, the figurine was still up so I continued to check around. Turns out I'd forgotten a spawn point and that's just where I found it.
That makes figurine number 16!...I think.. haha.

Well, that was a nice interruption to your tlpd camping for sure! It's nice to have that excitement sometimes even if it's not the actual rare you want!

I personally wouldn't pay a ton for Poseidus on the AH myself but people really want him. I don't mind selling because 1)I can try for another and 2) You can only use him in water, and he looks almost identical to the free one they give you for Vash'jir quests. I wish Poseidus' mount was purple or glowy...or something. LOL!

Hehe yeah I really do love the excitement of NPCscan! Gets me every time =P.

Yeah I don't think I'll ever actually buy the reins off the AH, and that would look so awesome if he were purple haha! Maybe one day they'll add more skins to the game =P.

Heya! I just finally took a long enough break to get TomTom added and I added all of the camel macros for the waypoints, WOW! I got a statue right as I started doing a sweep over all of those helpful little green dots on my map. Thanks so much for suggesting that addon, how exciting! Naturally, it was a fake but I don't care!

At least the crumbled statues are worth 25g! I know that seems silly to be positive about it but hey, a lot less work than hunting for most rares. I guess I should go back there at 3am since I found it around 10pm right? Oh the life of a rare-hunter. ;o)

I just killed Vyra again too, around 1230AM, which means there wasn't any rare spawns of either Vyra or TLPD for 14 hours. Yikes! Seems long! I think my next big goal is going to be the statues. Seems like an exciting way to get a mount. The TLPD will be nice to achieve, but I really like it when obtaining rare mounts is almost like a unique experience, like Aeonaxx! ;oD

I hope they make more like this in the next expansion...I've not heard anything have you?

I think the re-spawn timer for the figurines is like 5-12 hours...Or maybe more, can't quite remember. I usually don't try check them on schedule though, with the amount of spawn points and people in the zone, it would be so easy for someone else to pick one up while your checking other spots. I had one day where I checked Uldum each half hour once it reached the 5 hours since I found a previous one, but I didn't end up finding anything at all.

Ohh yeah, it seems like I've been seeing Vyra less and less lately, been taking her like 10+ hours to re-spawn..maybe it's a sign =P. And yeah the thrill of getting a rare mount must be great ( I've only had rare drop ones) but it would still have a similar feeling I guess =P.

I got another two camel figurines, both 25g hehe. At least that's better than nothing! I was able to sell the Reins of Poseidus today for 53k. Good enough for me! I think I may get myself a Sandstone drake.

Question, do you know if the Sandstone drake can carry a low level person? I was thinking it'd be handy for my low level guildies. Lemme know what you think. ;oD

On the camel figurines, I've been finding one per day, is that normal or are there more than one per day? The one today was SO hard to find! I actually closed WOW down and cleared my cache so I could have the npc scan go off again to help find the location, it was at the base of trees in grass. I did the Ctrl V trick while searching and it worked!!! That's such a grand idea!

AND, I downloaded Fraps so that I could make videos of my rare finds! Hopefully I can get one of the camel when it comes around hehe. I'm going to keep checking for Poseidus too, maybe try to get that one on video!

Ohh nice! I found one at about 1:30am last night, right after I found a Vyragosa =P. I always seem to find them between 12-2am, must be because less people are on. There's usually only 2-3 level 85s in Uldum at that time of night on my server, and during the day time there's like 10+ people D:.

Ohh that's awesome, you should get the Sandstone drake =), and I can confirm that it does carry low level passengers, as I use it to transport my sister's character to different spawn points to help me camp =P. It's also handy for helping friends who are leveling get to places faster =D.

In my opinion, I think you're very lucky and on the right track to be finding one a day =D. There may be one or two more spawns on that day, but it all depends on how long they take to re-spawn. If the lowest the re-spawn timer can be is 5 hours, the maximum in one day would be about 4.

Oh yes! That's just like what happened to me the other day, I couldn't find it anywhere, but it turns out I had flown right over it, but like a tinyy bit too far away for the friendly name plate to show =P. So I ended up resetting the cache and coming back to see if it was still there or if someone had found it. I can't remember who said it, but when NPCscan finds the figurines, i do a quick /npcscan to check if it's a dud, then I go find it. That way I don't all excited that it's going to be the real figurine and then get disappointed when it's not. Because usually when I find a dud, I would get all excited then click on it and be /sad panda haha =P.

Nice! I definitely will buy me a Sandstone Drake then! There are several lower level characters in our guild right now and anything I can do to help them level up would be perfect! ;o) I'm sure they'd be really happy about that! Thanks for the info! I'm sort of glad those figurines are hard to find because that makes me feel like my chances are a lot better! LOL!

Have you ever heard anything about how often the REAL Figurine spawns? Like how often the Dormus one spawns? I'm wondering because it'd be a good little way to kinda predict how many camels we'll have to go through. I did see someone on the WOW Forums said they've found 70 crumbled ones...Ugh! That's a lot. But I don't know, seems like most people say about 30 or 40. Either way, I'd be REAL happy if I found mine on #4 (I've found three so far) hahaha!

Ohh that would be nice of you =). Hehe thanks, you're awesome too! And I would love to have you on Real ID =D. I've actually only realized this recently, that to have people on Real ID you have to be on the same server ( US, EU, Oceanic etc) I always thought you could add people regardless. Don't know if I'm the only one who thought that, but eh haha =P. If you ever did want to add me I'm on an Oceanic server, and you can just send me a PM =).

Hehe yeah it's good the way they are now..Like, with Aeonaxx and TLPD they don't last alive long at all, someone almost always finds them right away. But with the figurines they actually manage to stay up for ages. I had one time where I found a figurine and was searching for about 5 minutes and not one other person came along during this time. ( This was when they had newly become untargettable and I had no idea about that and how the Control+ V would work =P.

Sadly I have no idea how often the real figurine spawns, it's probably another crazy RNG meany again haha =P. It may not spawn for 50+, or it may spawn 5 times in a row ( Psh I wish haha!) Just a rough idea of what I think. It says that about TLPD too, he could spawn several times in a row, or he could not spawn for weeks. Although there is the slight chance that he and the real camel figurine could pop up when we're not online or at another spawn point, that's the tough thing about them =(.

Awe am I not able to add you since I'm on US server?

We can try, though I don't think it works sadly =(. Me and another Petopian tried to add each other but the requests just don't come up, I soon found out the reason was because of the different servers =(.

Man, my husband BARELY missed Aeonaxx tonight while he was playing his mage in Deepholm! Doh! But what's funny is that many people have gotten him on Sunday. I'm wondering why it seems like it's always Sundays that he spawns on our server, you heard anything like that on yours?

Ohh poo! =(. I'm not sure about Aeonaxx spawns, but I do know that the TLPD kills that I've heard of have mostly been on the weekends, but that's probably because I was around more often during those times haha, who knows =P.
