Well I got to fiddle around with the trial a bit and I had a ton of fun messing with character creation. It was by far the best of its kind I have gotten to play with. I was never worried about the currency sellers or the bots. I have never had an uncontrollable urge to log on to their sites hehe. The one thing that I didn't enjoy was the combat system. It keeping the enemy targeted after its death felt awkward and the whole clickies/runs up and melees bit was clunky to me. That is pretty much my only complaint in general. Maybe there was a way to turn all that off in options? I really did want to try and fly, was a bit bummed at the limited amount of time the trial offered. Sadly it didn't last long enough to hook me :( a small part of me wants to reeeally get it but the adult side thinks its better to wait till after their patch or a few more months. Overall its a beautiful game with a huge world to explore and I can see a loyal player base willing to be helpful to newcomers :) I'll defiantly keep an eye on its development. If later I do decide to buy the full version can I just go back to the trial and get my characters started up or are they wiped? Thanks for all the help guys!

I made a "gnome" mage. :)

+3s are all I can afford right now, but I started L4s this week, so maybe I can get some +5s soon and pop them on a fresh jump clone :). Why did I think your "gnome mage" was a Kestrel at first? Fit some T2s w/ faction ammo and watch frigs go *pop*! :) Yes, I realize most people won't get this. This is how your non-wow friends feel when you try to relate an ICC raid to them :).

I think I'll wait on Aion. MMOs are like fine wine. Too young and its grape juice. Too old and its vinegar... or as a wise man once said...
