The concept and design of them is so dull that I hope it's nothing major, like a rare drop or the 150 mount achievement. I don't think they would be Blizz Store mounts either though, since one came out not even that long ago. Since these mounts were datamined ages ago and the pictures have suddenly been brought back up, whatever it is, I'm guessing it'll happen very soon.

Looks like it will be from the scroll guys.
Considering all the information given to us so far about it and the wording - It's a no brainer.
Luckily I have a friend running out of game time soon AND one of my old exes wants to get back into the game as well and is holding off until this comes out.
Kind of not regretting the faction change - Gryphon looks so much better.

Yeah. "Soon we fly together again." Sounds like the Scroll of Resurrection to me.
Makes my life easy anyway. Boyfriend came back recently and only bought a month of sub. He'll run out and then get a free level 80 Paladin lol. C:

I like the windrider XD I dunno they allways have been cool looking to me. I love the baby one too! It's alot better than the Griffon. Heck in Modelviewer the babies have 4 skins while the Griffon has one I wonder why? :/

I find it funny that I think that the gryphon plush is adorable while the pet is... not so adorable... while the wind rider pet is ADORABLE! =^.^= while the plush is a bit... derpy looking. xD

Theres a lot of ways to write Gryphon. I myself type it as Gryphon but can easily read all written forms of the word ^^
Im hoping this isnt scroll of ressurection -but- if it is, im gonna be really hard pressed to decide what character i want one of these ghostly beings on if we can only have one char with it. Bf has an account but its been dead for a long time cause he never really gets into the game, but he'd probably be willing to activate it via the scroll to get me the mount for some quality game time helping him level.
He has stated to me that the quests text is very confusing and doesnt really help tell him where he needs to go next.. i download questhelper cause i use it myself for questing and he uses it too but he just doesnt seem to understand it much so it'd be a fair trade if he helps me get the mount and i help him level so he can explore more of the games world other then the starter zones and give us a way other then texting eachother to chat and do something together inbetween my visits to his place.
edit: holy shiiii i just read adam's post about the free lvl 80 and also server/faction transfer. He already has cataclysm on his account so he cant get a free upgrade from that (but he bought the expansions at christmas so he still got a deal on it) but holy crap a free lvl 80 and server/faction transfers @_@ that should definitely entice him enough to try WoW once more, he loooooves flying my characters so he'll def be happy to fly as much as he wants on one of his own

I would assume that over time they'll change that time restriction to something like "must have been lapsed for <x> months". I expect the current date is just so people can't let their account lapse for 1 day just to get a bunch of perks.

Unfortunately they can. So they can get one of these mounts, free perks, and a lvl 80 jump even tho its the senders account to begin with

Bleh, the only person I know whose account is inactive has no access to playing the game. Maybe I could pay for it... he doesn't HAVE to play it right? Just re-activate it? I genuinely want him to start playing again and he really does as well but the only computer in his house which can play WoW belongs to his brother and although he is supposed to share it he's a real jerk and doesn't let my friend on it and he un-installed WoW purely so he couldn't play it. This brother is younger, usually it's the older brothers that do this kind of douchebaggery.
Anyone want their account revived?
Joking aside I'm glad we now know how to get the mounts. :3 I think I can live without it like I am living without the Soul of the Aspects atm but it would be a nice addition.
I honestly don't see the problem with getting it for your own accounts, if you're active on at least one account then there's a good chance you are good at the game and your boosted lv80 will be a good toon because the same skilled player is using it. Saying that I was a very bad player, bad skills, no rotation, didn't have a clue what I was going and played solo throughout the entire game until I joined a good guild and I was lv 85 by then. I'm not perfect and still make mistakes but I'm hell of a lot better than I was and that's taken only a few months since hitting the cap so I don't see why the level boost is an issue, people have the capacity to grow as a player after they reach the top level.
Note: The digital upgrade and level boost will only be available for scrolls sent during the 90-day promotion period. Players who accept a Scroll of Resurrection that was sent after the promotion period ends will still receive 7 days of FREE game time, but will not be eligible for the digital upgrade or level boost.
So it's only in a certain time period people can do this anyway. I think most will but afterwards there'll be some who find out about this late and want to do it and they won't get the boost.

I'm hoping to res my friend, I plan on sending her a code for 30 days of gametime. And yes they do have to pay for a month, but you can buy the time in the blizzard store and email it to them and they can use that to pay I assume.

Why on earth was this thread moved to MoP? o.O SoR has nothing to do with MoP, since it's already out...
There's a chance I might be able to do this now though! One of my boyfriend's friends wants to come back to WoW and he's trying to convince him to let me SoR him. (:

At the time it was probably reported and moved, there was no announcement of what these mounts would be.

I used the SoR for a friend of mine and they were pretty stoked about getting their warrior bumped up to lvl 80, but when they tried to do the free server transfer it told them they had already used their perk. Anyone else know if they only actually get one of the perks?

I love the plain windriders. The epic one with the helmet and the non matching colors just scares me. As Veph said i like the concept of them but they REALLY REALLY REALYY needs an update .. cant find my screenshot of the epic one, but i never uses them. Rather go with the lvl 60

I'd suggest that you have them file a ticket. x: They should be able to get the server xfer still.
