No more so than those paid full price for fast mounts before they dropped the price drastically. Things change. I wouldn't consider it time wasted since they had it on those other toons that much sooner rather than having to wait and wait and wait.

It doesn't make much sense to say on one hand "camping for mounts is fun!" and on the other hand say "this will make all my previous alt mount camping a waste of time". If camping for mounts is really fun, then of course it wasn't a waste of time, because you were having fun.

Please people, try to remember that people are stating their opinions, and while they can be worded harshly it is not meant as an attack against you.
I understand that each of you feel strongly about your opinion, but being rude and calling others ignorant is not going to change their opinion on the matter.

That said, let me get to my thoughts on the subject.

Personally, I think that this is a good idea.
There are many mounts out there that I have collected on one toon and after switching my main I wished I had it on my new character. (Particularly my Amani Bear from the original ZA)
You could find that with the new expansion you no longer enjoy the game mechanics of your former favorite class (it happens) and find that the new tweaked mechanics of (insert class here) is enjoyable. This would allow you to have all of your "hard earned" mounts on your new character.

Sure there are some people out there that enjoy "camping" for mounts, but that is not me, nor anyone that I personally know that plays the game so I am not able to relate.

A diplomatic solution would be to mail it to you like the in-game pets from the collectors editions.
I think that would make everyone happy, well not everyone.... most everyone...

All current mounts will be Account wide, or any further mount you would get ?

I am all for this, hands down. I hate camping, i hate farming. The relief and joy of getting the mount after however long it takes me to get my hands on it is not worth the amount of time that it takes to do. It will also lessen the amount of griefing people force upon eachother if they're both after the same thing cause if someone gets it, they're set on all their current characters. I dont need to worry about them hopping on their second lvl 85 and griefing me some more while they try to camp it on the char they are now currently playing. If they are griefing me anyways, well, at least they arent trying to make me give up for their own camping desires. And i can report them anyways, especially if they already have the mount on the char their griefing me on.

I also dont need to tick off my guild members everytime i get a char to lvl 85 and want to do acheivment runs so they can get certain mounts. My raid guild usually ignores those who are not up to speed with them in that department. If they have the acheivment, they'll ignore you. Or help someone else and pick people of their choice to help the player(s) they're helping out. Cause im exalted on my druid with them i dont want to leave the guild till i either a) have the phoenix which im lacking in gold for or b) MoP comes out and i can leave them for a different guild and use the new and exciting quests and dungeons to gain rep with that new guild since we'll all be on the exact same page as eachother.

I dont have any rarespawn mounts, but i do have Anzu on two characters and blue drake on one. Aside from bronze dragons, they're the only dungeon drop mounts i own. Anzu is an easy farm, though tedious on those who cant sneak by the mobs and can take forever before the mount does drop and blue drake is a difficult farm since anyone above lvl 80 cant get it from H: Occulus and has to farm from the raid but im indifferent to either of them and well, all my mounts as a whole, becoming account bound immediately.

Im fine with any mounts you acquire after the change has been implimented becoming account bound and any you currently own remaining on the characters that earned them but of course as i said, i dont have any rarespawn mounts and anzu/blue drake were really easy farms for me but i do know that others have gone on for a couple hundred runs at least and still running everyday for anzu and many have probably given up on the blue drake by now. I would looooove for existing learned mounts to become account bound but cause i didnt have to hand over half my soul for any of the ones i do own, im fine with taking the time to re-farm anzu after the change.

'Course this is if they're really serious about this idea. Im not sure if they're toying with us or actually wanting to impliment it o_O

I would definitely throw a thumbs up to blizzard for this, even if for the simple fact that some mounts there is no way to farm at all for on any of my new and upcoming toons, and said mounts would probably look good. I have the Swift Zulian Tiger on my druid, and I'd love to have on my worgen or gobbies, but none of my worgen or gobbies were made til way after they changed ZG. I always feel that Nug would look good on the tiger next to his beloved Kora (shango's current look). The only mounts I can't see being shareable would "maybe" be class specific, IE pally or lock mounts, or DK gryph. Would love to have Nug's purple proto on my worgen, but doin ALL the holiday achievements on more than one toon and waiting a year, just doesn't seem feasable. Try filling the stables of 18 different 85's with hard to find or rare mounts, not gonna happen, if this goes through, that'll be a wonderful change.

Ok, I'm going to take both sides on this. But I have to say, you are being defensive in my point of view.

I've farmed up 4 TLPDs on my toons. So I know the camp, the wait, and the sense of accomplishment. I see where you are coming from. The other down side is that rarer mounts are going to become more common, as you'll see them on more toons.

At the same time, I do not relish the thought of farming rep for Talbuk mounts or others for my new panda. So this would be a real boon.

Yes, it does stink if you've farmed up multiple TLPDs, but there are bonuses with it. Getting the FL and MF mounts and others on your new toons will be really nice.

It's a wash really..

What I would love is if this means my hunter would finally get to ride around on a flying carpet! It would probably still have the tailoring requirement to use it, though

to me, account wide mounts and minipets and possibly titles, it makes it so I could play my alts without feeling like I'm missing out on doing something with my main.
Also makes getting holiday mounts much more likely. Gotta grind up those toons now!

I like this idea a lot, but I wonder what the restrictions will be. My two 85s are on opposite side so it'll probably go the same as the racial changes do.

I don't get how race mounts would work with this.

Horses = Wolves
Rams = Undead horses
Mechano-striders = Kodos
Cats = Raptors
Elekks = Hawkstriders
Mountain horses = Goblin trikes
Gryphons = Wyverns
Bear = Bear
Mammoth = Mammoth
(whatever aliance AT is) Hippogryph = Sunreaver Hawkstrider
etc

I can understand the mammoth and bear they are just recolours and the flying starters but not the race mounts. Guess I'll have to wait and see!.

I dont know the faction swaps, well, not all of em anyways for the cities, but the quel'dorei steed changes to sunreaver hawkstrider and the silver covenant hippogryph changes to sunreaver dragonhawk

Cowmuflage. they're probably gonna rig it like it is now for faction changes. The mount will just change to that sides equivalent.

I look forward to this because it means I can farm stuff on my hunter main and NOT on my priest main, who can't solo worth a bloody damn. I also have the retired brewfest ram, camels, talbuks, and argent tournament mounts that I look forward to riding on my panda alts.

since they're BoE tho, i doubt they will which means we gotta grind the helicopters, magic carpets, bikes, and sandstone drake everytime we want it :<

What about class mounts? They can't be giving non warlocks warlock mounts that would be stupid.
