I wonder what that says about a company if that's all their customers expect of them? It's not as if the annual pass was put out last week. They've had months to prepare...and to inform us of this staging and preferential Beta invites...even for Annual Pass holders...instead of blindsiding paying customers the day before Beta launch. You clearly are fine with it, I'm not. I guess we can just agree to disagree on this one.
Your basing your argument on one small vague wording of when you will get Beta Access. They simply do not have the server capacity to handle everyone online at once, even if they managed to the playing conditions would be awful. Your computer simply couldn't handle the vast amount of players in a very small area of the game. Your computer would simply just lock up, so either way you would be forced to wait anyway.
And your basing yours on what? An assumption that Blizzard is not capable of handling the amount of people that they entered into annual contracts with? They didn't even vaguely suggest they'd be inviting in stages or that those who've played the longest would get access first. They simply didn't state it. At all. Not even in the fine print.
It just kinda of sucks out all the fun and "newness" out of the Beta. The whole reason I entered into this contract at all. Had I known they were going to pull this I never would have signed up. I'm glad others are fine with it. I'm not. I wanted to experience Beta first hand for myself, not second had after tons of information is already out by those who actually got access to beta "when Beta went live". I don't want to keep posting negative posts about it. I've said what I had to say. I'm just so disappointed, that's all.

They never stated everyone would get in from the start. So if you were going to base your assumptions on anything it would have to be precedence. They've always given out beta invites in waves. So unless stated otherwise you'd have to assume this one would be handled the way it always has been. I didn't get in in the first round either, but I didn't necessarily expect I would and certainly have no reason to feel pissy at Blizzard about it.

Aren't beta invites always sent out in waves?
I didn't get the MoP beta yet, but hey, this means that whenever I get into, I'm highly less likely to bump into glitches, bugs and server crashes ^_^
And I'm very sory some people are so stressed about not getting the invite in the first wave

I have a solution for you! Don't spoil yourself with spoilers and don't read any officil information. In this case even not getting in the beta and playing the game after it launches will be a first-hand experience for you ^_^
And another thing, I'm personally not a beta person, the only thought of playing something, leveling, earning achievements, camping pets and then having to do all that AGAIN kills all the fun for me

"Pull this"?... really?.. If you think over a million people were all going to be dumped on the beta servers all at once, then you were setting yourself up for disappointment, as you had no idea of how betas work. And what where you going to do when someone discovered that first rarespawn before you did? Heck, MMO-Champ will spoil it for you anyway as the models will be seen there first.
What they are doing is standard beta procedure. If they had about 1 million people, they'll invite them in waves of about 100,000 each.
Also remember that they don't release all the content at once. It comes in phases. Pets, professions, and much more get added later, so there is plenty to discover later. But the dataminers really "spoil" it anyway, if that's what you are concerned about.
I'm going to be taking my time in beta just to explore the landscape. Once live starts, I'll be too busy making gold to look up.

I don't think there is a Server out there that could handle the millions of people online @ once, you seemed to ignore the fact your computer simply couldn't handle this many people on a server. Even if it was only a few thousand this is simply no way the computer could. I'm not even sure the ISP hosting the servers could even handle the network traffic either.
