Cloud Serpents are sentient so no, again. Proto Drakes seem to be borderline sentient so again I'd have to say nay.

Loque is the only spirit beast that looks somewhat original. All the other spirit beasts were simple reskins and most of them are just spectral. But the new one is a brand new model, has a really epic glow around it and, as I said on the other thread, it reminds me too much of the druid fire-cat form which is also a boss model. Not saying I wouldn't like to see it as a new spirit beast, just saying I can't see it happening and I don't want to get my hopes up too much. I do hope as much as the next hunter though that it will be...

Also, Jessi - Have you played the MoP beta? How do you know cloud serpents are sentient creatures? Even things in beta are around 90% likely to get changed right now so don't say things like they're facts. Let people have their fun. I think we all wish that some dragonkin could be tameable but I think we also know that it's not likely to happen for lore reasons.

Faerie dragons do sound like a good idea to me though, since we can have them as mini-pets and all. Maybe some small proto-drakes too.

They're dragons. Dragons are sentient creatures. Just because it's in beta doesn't mean "Hey lets make the dragons suddenly be animalistic beasts so the hunters can tame them!"

Even Fae Dragons by any lore(WoW or otherwise) are sentient. They're much like the sprites...tricksters. There's a famous one from DnD named Perlivash - http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monste ... gon-faerie

We have dragon whelps as mini pets too...even Ethereal Soul Traders. Not every mini pet we have is gonna be some epic tameable pet.

People can have their fun all they want but it works both ways. You should let those who disagree be. We're in our right to disagree, especially on a dead-horse topic such as tameable dragons.

There are a lot of "lower" dragonoids (drakes, etc) that you list that I'm not sure fall into the sentient category. If we have them as mini-pet companions, having them as regular pets isn't that far of a stretch. After all, taming them is just creating a companion bond with them.

That being said, I highly doubt that we'd ever see any of them tameable except perhaps for the fairie-dragonoid types, as none of them are really practical for taming.

Well Whelps are baby dragons so they'd go up to be dragons.

Dragons should never be tameable. We have enough tameable things out there we don't really need Dragons. It's not world of huntercraft after all.

Sounds like a beast based on that.

I'm not saying that dragons as we now know them, should be tameable, but as monkeys are tameable, there are some "dragonoids" that would fall into the beast class.

can't tame dragons b/c they are sentient. but. we can mount them and force them to do our bidding in terms of travel.

Technically we dont force them. We rescue them and they wish to pay us back by helping us with travel.

In that sense then they could do the exact same thing but offer to help us fight. *Shrug* I wouldn't mind a slight questline of some kind of it meant a dragon for a hunter pet.

And that certainly applies to the "higher" dragonoids, but not the proto-drakes.

But really, I want to know where that dividing line is.

Why the angst? So we shouldn't have any new pet models in Panda?.. I'll let Noah know.

I didnt say no new pet models just the whole "we should beable to tame evrything" stuff is annoying. Thats all.
