Congrats on getting into WoW Insider. (:

But yeah, I agree with all the comments. Don't cry? You're not human. Or you don't have a soul. Even my boyfriend made of steel cried at this the first time.

I just asked my boyfriend if he cried, he said he tried not to and didn't but I don't really believe him. :P
I'm gathering he came really close to, though hehe. :P

I bawl super easy at stuff that really gets me XD Most recent bawling i had was when i was watching The Lorax (favorite childhood book ever of mine, i'd make my dad read it to me every night that i slept over at grandma's). The time before that i finished an amazing fantasy series that took place in ancient Europe, when people lived in clans and magic was believed to be very real. Up! turned me into an emotional wreck a well but of course half the audience was crying too so i felt totally fine bawling to myself lol. I dont think ive ever come across a better love story in anything ive read or watched then Up!.

Up made me feel so weird. I'd CRY MY FACE OFF and then laugh a whole bunch, and then CRY MY FACE OFF AGAIN and laugh some more... just... ohmygosh it was an emotional roller coaster. XD

Oh yeah, I teared up watching Up--both during the opening montage and during the scene when Carl reads the scrapbook.

The end of Toy Story 3, when Andy brings the box of toys to the little girl? That really left me a watery mess.

Yeah, I'm a big softy. Good thing movie theaters are dark. :)

My most recent waterfall-attack was re-watching Fox and the Hound for the first time in almost ten years... When she has to leave Tod... T_______T

And then the most I've ever cried at the cinema was during Water For Elephants, omg my mum was actually laughing at me I was crying so much. :c So mean lol. But I did cry a little in the cinema at Up, not too much, but when I got it on DVD and watched it on my own I cried *much* more then for some reason. xD

It's good to see all the interest in films like this.

I think animated films like this and other offerings from Pixar and Dreamworks are still in that phase where alot of people like it, but are still conditioned to think they *shouldn't*, either because it's animated aka "cartoon", or because (at least some of) the main characters are kids, or etc, so they kind of keep it to themselves.

But I think that's changing, happily.

And no man is made of steel (well outside of comic books), we're just taught that wearing that facade gets us what we want... so we do it. :)

Being someone who is proud to be currently studying Games Development & Animation in college and soon moving on to Computer Games Art in university, I'm very proud of my love for animation and video games. I'm a huge fan of the current generation of My Little Pony and I show this with pride - got a shirt coming in the mail and I have hairclips with ponies on, hairbobbles for little girls that are so tiny I use them as rings, heck, my college bag has a pony on it. It really helps that my mum doesn't mind this either, at first she thought it was a little weird but she's always been a 'each to their own' kind of person and she only pokes fun at it sometimes because she knows I can take a joke. You're not a fan of something until you can laugh at it too, eh?

I was sat in the hairdressers getting my hair done the other day when my hairdresser asked me what I was doing or studying. When I told her about Games Development & Animation she asked me 'Now why would you want to do that?'. That ticked me off a little. I responded with, 'Well... Because I like video games and animated films, why else?' and laughed after as to not sound too serious. (Didn't really wanna start a fight with the person currently cutting my hair, she could've done anything, haha.) A lot of people seem to find animated films 'childish' and video games to be some kind of sin because they only see the one side of it. Animated films are not classed as 'kids' films. They're 'family' films, to be watched with the family or simply to be family-friendly. I watch animated films alone all the time, I watched Pokemon Heroes for the first time last night and Kung Fu Panda 2 a few nights before. I love those films, they're great. And I don't see why anyone else's opinions should affect my view on these things.

(Sorry all you Americans for terms like 'university' and 'films', I'm English so college is college and uni is uni. xD And film, well... it's shorter than movie LOL.)

Oh man, don't get me started on Toy Story 3. I saw it the night it came out in theaters and there was a torrential flood of tears pouring down my face. I grew up with the Toy Story movies, and was a freshman in college at the same time that Andy was leaving home, so there were a lot of deeper emotional things going on that I could relate to.

But the part that got me the most about Toy Story 3 wasn't just the ending... it was the scene when all the toys were in the incinerator and they thought they were going to die. Jesse looks up and is like, "What are we gonna do Buzz?" and Buzz just looks at her sadly and grabs her hand.

OH GOD. MY HEART. I couldn't deal with. Lost my composure.

Yeah thats the part where I started to cry.
Then the ending made me cry even more.

Could have sworn Americans said college instead of university though. >.>

Edit: Yeah. o.O Stole'd from Wikipedia:

"In the United States and Ireland, "college" and "university" are loosely interchangeable, whereas in the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and other Commonwealth nations, "college" may refer to a secondary or high school, a college of further education, a training institution that awards trade qualifications, or a constituent school within a university."

Oh god, I think that was one of the best but saddest films Disney has ever made. I loved it. And it's highly underrated.

Yep, that scene was very poignant - silly as it may sound, for me it reached its peak when Bullseye was scrabbling and trying to get away, and Woody took his hoof. I mean, any movie that can provoke that kind of feeling from something so intrinsically goofy as Bullseye, well... this genre has most certainly come of age!

Hmm speaking of which, anyone see Wall-E? :)

Yeah I am from the states though, I normally used university and it depends on where you live as to what people use. x: Its not just a blanket whole country thing.

That awkward moment when that scene starts when you're with your friend in the cinema watching the 3D version and you both want to cry but you know how stupid that will look with 3D glasses on and how you've never seen each other cry so you're TRYING SO HARD to hold back the tears... xD

Forgive me if someone already reported this and I missed it, but as a follow-up to this thread, the UP house is now populated with an old Pandaren named "Kar" (Carl), a pet fox named Dig (instead of a dog named "Dug") and a grummle named "Rusty Nail". I presume the latter is Russell.

Dig is stealthed and pretty much invisible so I had to include his portrait.
