wait so in SWTOR each class only gets one romance option? (well one for male character, one for female)

I never got that far myself. That would be kind of a bummer.

Yeah, one per gender. For some classes (Smuggler, SI, umm JK and I dunno what else) there are a few options outside of your companions but I've only toyed with the female SI option (smugglers have a lot, iirc) and that was a one-shot since he - spoiler? - died. It's really a bummer, my favorite thing about Bioware games is the super in-depth characters and the LIs and stuff. SWTOR is lacking those, which would be okay if it were any other MMO... But it's still Bioware, and it's still heavily focused on story, so it seems really... bland, I guess? (Not to mention the repetitiveness of leveling two of the same class, and if you want an assassin and a sorc, you don't have any option - even going straight LS/DS on each one doesn't feel very different imo)

It really just makes me wish they'd made it KOTOR2 so it could blossom as a really amazing single player game, like DA/ME. I was playing it like a single player game with a $15 subscription fee, anyways.

To get off topic again, as someone who has never touched the ME series (I know, I'm terrible D: ) I've totally got my fangirl boner for Thane and Garrus.

I agree, having only one per gender per class feels so...limited. However, when you think about it, that's what - sixteen LIs total (permanent ones, anyway) spread out across all classes and genders? So technically, there are a lot in the game, it's just that it feels like less because we're so used to Bioware's single-player games where there are up to six romanceable companions per player.

I'm not as much of a Thane girl (something about the face, but I love his voice and character), but I'm totally in geeky love with Garrus. <3 I like turians in general, anyway, and his personality just makes him so darned smexy. :P

From what I read, it wasn't old assumptions. It was info from the beta. Then when TOR went to release, it was down to one per. Once I figured out even Zenith was off-limits, I gave up. -_-

And sorry to double-post, but ahhh, I didn't know that. So that's what happened! Weird, I wonder why they did that?

On on the Mass Effect thing, I'm not sure why I find Garrus so hot. And Kalli, my Shepard liked him since ME, it just wasn't an option in that game. If it had been, oh yeah. I try to make myself give Kaidan a chance, but he just seems like such a putz to me. "ZOMG at least I know where my loyalties lie!" And Garrus is all, "Um yeah, and mine are with Shepard." (he didn't actually say that, but that's essentially what's up). D'aww, I wuv you too, Garrus. :P

I don't know, but it was a huge mistake on their part. :( I was still poking at TOR up until then. It's just something that I wasn't expecting to have yanked out from under me.

Hee, my Shepard didn't see Garrus that way until I played ME2 totally blind and went OOOH over Archangel (I <3 me some snipers) and then omgit'sGarrus. I was a goner then, hehe. Took me a second playthrough, though, since I was loyal on the first. (Ahhhh, I love Mordin's dialogue if you're loyal!) I can't explain why I have a soft spot for Kaidan....I guess because he has a real moral standing and honestly, I agreed with him about Cerberus. I liked that he thinked for himself rather than just followed me blindly. Besides, he wasn't available where he was anyway. The residual worries in ME3 got a little tiresome (as in, haven't we already resolved this?), but played out okay in the end. I definitely do a lot of reading of my own personal code onto Kaidan, which fleshes him out a bit more. Okay, a lot more. I got a bit ticked off in ME3 when Garrus got ALL the great dialogue. Kaidan and Ashley got kind of screwed on dialogue and character development, meh. But yeah, long story short (too late), my next playthrough, which will be my personal "canon" playthrough, will have Garrus, rather than Kaidan....who isn't even going to make it on the Normandy, even though he has reave, which I will miss dearly. I'm finally at the point of giving up on the underdog, basically. :)

*grins* They are the biggest heartthrobs in the ME series.

@Kalli ~ My Shep's first love was Nihlus but yanno...Saren shot him. Then she liked Kaidan...he decided to be a big damn hero on Virmire.....now shes with Garrus...and forever will be. <3

I liked Nihlus too! Of course, some say he became Marauder Shields....(<3 the internet sometimes)

My current playthrough is the only one I'm going to do with Ashley being alive instead of Kaidan. It just feels wrong to me to have her around. Kaidan may not be getting back on the Normandy in my canon playthrough (since that ship sailed), but I definitely prefer him to her. The flashlight head comment she made re: Geth got me. -_-

I'm scared to touch ME, because I know everyone dies ._.

Also, back to SWTOR: It might be 16 LIs total, but you'd have to play all classes twice, once as each gender, if you wanted to experience them all. It just takes too long.

Saren would've been really awesome to haven around too if...he...wasn't such an asshole and didn't get himself indoctrinated. >_>; XD

Ash was a racist biznach....>>;

Fiever ~ Who told you that? *giggles* I might have to say they're lying.

ME is worth the journey, Fievre. ME3's ending puts me off, but I am still diving into it hard - the game's design is amazing. ME2 is great for character development too. You need to meet Garrus, Mordin, Tali, Thane, Jack, EDI - it's worth it, no matter what happens in the end. :)

ME1 and ME2 go up for sale on Steam every now and then - and summer's coming up. :D

I get stalked on Steam xP So I'm probably just gonna snag them from Amazon, they're like $25 together so no big deal. I'll just snag my friend's copy of ME3 whenever I get around to needing it.

Yeah. ME is worth the journey(even if the battle system is horrible). ME2 and ME3 are amazing.

Blockblockblock! :D Or don't log into your friends list. But yeah, regardless of how you do it, it's worth it! :)

I might be able to get away with blocking him if I log on at an obscure hour where he's not on so he doesn't see that I was on and then spams the balls out of my phone -_- I actually uninstalled Steam completely a few weeks ago because I never even felt like getting on it anymore because of it. Well, and also largely in part due to the fact that I never played any games on there.

You know you can play Steam on offline mode so your not on the internet. I don't think you can talk to people then but you can play all your games normally.

I don't play anything through Steam, though, so there was no point. I got about a full day clocked in on Skyrim and managed to get bored lol and that was my only game on there.
