I'm not a fan of caramelldansen, but they do pull it off well. And... They just look so happy doing it. X.x the happiness shown in their faces can make me live with it. Not only that but it's just an emote that I wouldn't have to use if I didn't want to.

The more I think about it though, the more annoyed I get. I mean... I don't even really haven thoughts fully together. There are a few reasons why I'm annoyed, but I feel like it would be too long and complicated to explain. XD

As for the male dance, they look like they're having a BLAST and I love it. I'm also really looking forward to seeing people do it in future blizzcon dancing contests.
But god, their faces during the dances, I still can't get over the expressions the pandaren can make.

I'm sorry for people who dislike them but I dont think the Pandaren are supposed to be a very serious race. They seem to only want to have fun and they give off the lifes a party vibe. Blizzard captured it with the dances, Pandaren are cute theres no way around that.

On the other hand.. /puts on sunglasses. EVERY DAY I'M SHUFFILIN /shuffles with all the male pandarens.

I think the male dance is pretty decent, does their big belly some justice.

Females, however..

-Disappointed sigh- I will not be rolling one on live. I can't stand how cutesy and 'omgkawaii:3' they turned out to be.

Yup when they made them and gave them their faces i think it could easily be seen where they were going with them. Males are big and goofy, females are cutesy. They're better than female worgen turned out to be I think however.. If only slightly, female worgen = too ugly and female pandaren = too cute. Blizzard cant ever find a medium it seems.

Oh god female Pandaren are miles better than female worgen!

I think their dance is better aswell.

I had never heard of or seen the video the female dance was based off of until today. I can honestly say after watching it that I am even more confused as to why people like it so much.

Both are pop culture references, just for different reasons. My point was theres one extreme with female worgen and another with the female pandaren. Thats why I say only slightly because if it wasnt one extreme its the other. I can look at female worgen and think warrior etc, I cant look at the pandaren and think big, tough warrior. My only thought is "Oh its so cute and fluffy!" I see them as clothies over everything else and hunters for sheer "cute animal with animal" vibes.

They took it from cute/pretty to far to the "Eww" side with the permasnarl and what not they got going on. Dont get me wrong the models before needed work but they were better than the evil chihuahuas that female worgen turned into imo.

Male Pandaren dance is awesome. I can almost say that it's more entertaining than Draenei dances, but nothing, NOTHING will beat Tunak Tun.

Female Pandaren dance makes me want to strangle the guy who thought it would be a good idea. At least they didn't incorporate any more Gaga garbage, I hope. Carameldansen makes me angry every time I hear it-nay, see it. It's worse than Rickrolls; even Rick Astley's voice is fine.


On that note, WHERE IS MY DANCE STUDIO OR OPTION FOR "NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP"?

I love the female Pandaren dance. To each their own I guess XD


There was 2 hour dance party in SW tonight on Lost Isles with like 30 pandaren all dancing.

I personally like it. They look awesome doing it, I can agree with that point

Also after reading some of the posts(not directed at a single person. This is just overall)....I think I should remind people that not every race has to be "GONNAKEELYOU!!!!" or "Immabadass". There's nothing wrong with a cute race. If you want something with a more deathy feel....you have the Forsaken. If you want feral feel....go worgen or troll or orc....if you want more elegance....go night elf or blood elf or draenei. We haven't really had a cute race thing since the female gnome...which was vanilla. So we were long overdue.

OK, now I know I won't have any male pandaren. Just hate anything related to those two clowns. I'm a hater and I'm gonna hate!
The vanilla dances were good and awesome, but now, since Cata? Just some random 'dance' featured in some crappy new fashion MTV video. No thanks.

The female one is sweet. Caramelldansen owns!

EDIT: As an aside, there IS a market for the super cute. Hello Kitty is a mega empire for that very reason. I'm a big member of the market. You can always roll Tauren if it's too cute for your taste. As for me? I'm WAY INTO the cute! That's one thing Blizz didn't have for the Horde: super cute. Gnomes are super cute. Space goats and belfs are sexy. Tauren and...er..Worgen are ...um... serious? Anyway, you get the drift.

Agreed - the transition is jarring. If it had been Hare Hare Yukai without Caramelldansen, it'd work well, but not both together.

Goblins have the sass to give everyone XD I can't see Pandaren being like that, they're jolly folks who enjoy life and all its pleasures.
